Gui/Game Settings We need

A list of settings we need

Settings

  • Ability to toggle on and off friendly bars
  • Ability to toggle on and off enemy bars
  • Ability to change corsair colors
  • Camera lock position
  • (5m) Additional (third person perspective) zoom range on camera

UI Changes

General

  • Respawn gUI redesigned. We should be able to see whats going on dead.
  • Respawn gUI elements do not move or change order. This is an insanely annoying feature, when camp respawns move to the bottom of the list due to respawn timers

Company

  • Location column in the guild roster reflecting where a player is in the world (Zone specific)
  • Options to add additional ranks (up to 15)

World Map

  • Ability to hide quest or quest related markers
  • Ability to hide Corruption portals

Trade Post

  • Fix the current issues where the perks that do not apply to current type of gear are gray’d out.
  • Ability to toggle/select only specific qualities of items (check mark box so we can select multiple)
  • Ability to sort by a gold range (imput based by user/player)
  • Add an estimated value cost to items in the list on tooltip scroll over, so players can identify high/low priced items quickly.

Group

  • Ability to cause “locked targeting” (the casting you use to target someone for heals) to automatically target a group member based on hotkey (f1-f5 for group member 1-5)

Raid Frames

  • A priority healing “life bar” showing the nearest allies in dire need of healing and some way to target them. Think of “group member life bar” except its (dynamic and) automatic and updates to lowest health people nearby that are friendly.

Interesting, a lot of these are good ideas. If you could provide some pros of each of your ideas and the ways that they would improve your game experience, and the ways that not having them impacts your game experience negatively I’ll be happy to send the feedback over :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@Centeotl

With regards to the settings area,

There is a lot of issues popping up around trying to “aim” light/heavy attacks and the gui being cluttered with names, nameplates, etc.

having options to disable specific names, nameplates (bars) would help clear this up and make the light/heavy attacks much more practical. A good example of this is when things are trying to cluster in opr around a door. Not only do we have issues seeing through the door (which should be on this list) we also have all the friendly names blocking the way.

I often also get problems with my camera zooming and not returning to its original max range, which is annoying. The additional zoom range and the camera features around this really help make tactical choices about what to do. I know working on wow, that these zooms provide a tactical advantage (because of line of sight) so i would not recommend more then 3-5m (<=20%) of what max settings are now.

AS for the “general” section,

IT is extremely annoying to have to respawn to have the elements (buttons specifically) move around. Many times you instictively push a button thinking it is something else, and end up respawning in town instead of the camp. This is very upsetting when its for wars, or other important mission/questing runs.

As for “company”,
i’d be nice to see where guild members are just because of the fact that we are trading via discord and have to ask. a quick check for town/zone would be great.

As for “world map”
I experience a lot of clutter, and i really just want to disable it to keep the map clean. This is especially annoying at max level.

as for “trade post”
These changes are really to help enhance the trade post experience. It seems that already some perks do gray themselves out on specific items, I think something is broken that is causing the rest of the trade post to not behave this way. It seems intended, so it should work for other items.

As for “group”
Many people have requested a “hot key” for group members, because the scroll to heal fuction is very slow to “reaction” which can result in quick deaths.

This is where the “priority healing bar(s)” come in, allowing for a hotkey to target that player at low health quickly, ignoring this nonsensical “mouse scroll to select member” option. Its really not a good feature, especially for us more progressed players.

Hope that helps, will let you know if i have more feedback. Let me know if you’d like to know anything else.

And the universal timer please, I’m literally recording down the cd times for my dailies in excel. Make some contents weekly cd and boost the rewards by x7 rather than lumping all activities on daily, so that there’s more leeway for players to play their own styles.

I think you have some awesome ideas!

The only one that I don’t quite agree with:

Too much visual behind your character breaks immersion. Also if someone or something is sneaking up behind you then you shouldn’t be able to see them coming.

@Centeotl I’d like to add to this post I’m replying at, on this part:

Please, add to your report that the compass and the map still don’t display resource nodes correctly. And now the map gets cluttered with most of the elemental, herbs and food nodes that you come across on each session.

Could you consider to instead permanently remember the location of said nodes (and all fixed location nodes while you’re at it) and make it toggleable in the resources section that you already have implemented? This would make that section become more than a tooltip.
