Lol, AGS should be ashamed of themselves on how blatant they favor everyone but mages. How about they learn the word BALANCE in it’s entirety. Giving melee , bows , muskets free BiS gear , jewelry , and weapons with plus % thrust , slash , strike damage. How about do the same for mages by making rings that are plus fire , or plus magical damage as it’s not like mages have varying sources of fire other than the fire staff. Meanwhile, melee have these plus slash damage rings that is applicable to EVERY weapon they can use…

Blasphemy hahaha. AGS hates healers, not even dmg we have more. The healing mechanics sucks and the weapon is boring overall.

I hate seeing the “mages get no love” posts as I, a heavy melee, proceed to get my ass waxed by a FS/IG or IG/VG or FS/VG. Throw in a rapier and sweeee im toasted. There is also crafting jewelry to get what you want. Doesnt always have to be mob drops or chest loot. Adapt to the changes made or quit, games not going to be easy mode forever for you guys running magic weapons and light armor, then the smallest inconvenience comes and straight to the forums. Im still trying to adapt after my 3/4 month break its going pretty well, slowly, but getting better.

And Voide Blade isn’t even slash…

I would like some more choicws on the Int-items department.

And on the Str favour, I would like Grit moved Con, would like to see a caster with grit (and it should ofc work on range)

so further buff mage’s and ranger’s while shitting on melee? You talking about the grit you get at 300str?

you do understand that those rings have Slash/Thrust Dmg AND Keen Awareness right?
which is not craftable. equivalent to that is Fire Dmg and Keen Awareness which isnt craftable either.

damp from bnb is a int ring dose extra burn damage

i play every role in this game, no way should range have grit that’s some super easy mode right there, everyone should not have grit, flamethrower still invisible, fun as hell to use but invisible and strong as hell unless your lying to your self lol

Also i think grit should be a perk that attaches to shield and not a stat like str or dex or int or con

it makes sense for a tank to have grit, however a archer or ranged or a mage or a great axe shouldn’t have it, doesn’t make sense for dps to have a non stagger ability it dose for tanks.

Yeah Grit you are getting from Str.

Yeah and might be a buff in combat flow, but it is also a choice. Full glass vs security.
Skilled players wouldn’t take it, but for lesser skilled player it would be a nice QoL, but I still had to think about doing so, as it would tank my dmg.

And to be honest, I do not feel range are so huge a problem if the adjust the maps for OPR, and I am a bit in doubt if that is a great way to balance the game, compared to was, arena and pve.

OPR is just a funny mode, that might benefits more on its own balance seperated from th other game modes.
Cause the share numver of players, open map and so on makes it unpredictable.
And while range is an advantage it is only that until you get upclose.
And seen plenty of good players getting upclose and eating the range players.

And with the upcoming shield vs range, I think it becomes even harder to camp range.
I am happy that there is still room for snipers.
I see it like most FPS games, can you snipe and dominate? Sure.
But you often end up losing anyway if you do not play objectives.

And good players will find a way to flank you.

With stagger being a thing I abosolut think grit shoudl be a choice.
It is simply not fun to be chain staggered, just like chain stun etc.

And one can still be knock down, stunned and so on.

But we might just be fundamental on or view on combat here, and view on “roles”.
I am not against counters, but I like a flow of combat, and deniyng that is not fun.
That is why games limits harder CC.

And grit is only on base attacks, abilities are still interruptable.

Many Bruisers Abilities have based grit. GA/WH build or GS/WH in 85% of scenarios is whole the time on grit. But without it in cap points fights will become, unplayable melees have so many staggers, knock downs, maybe in 3v3 even 5v5 fights it does not really matter and you feel its not needed, but in wars where you have 30 melees spamming their skills it s really annoying not having grit… hammers ping pong…
