This is more of a suggestion than general feedback. And if you want my feedback refer to any meme/gif of a dumpster fire you can find.
But, since weapon balance is such a hot button issue. Which I think desperately needs a rework from the ground up on pretty much every single weapon.
Most people would agree that group composition is the primary issue when it comes to PVP balance in most instances. Especially now that leaderboards are just further highlighting the intensely broken setup we are currently experiencing.
Wouldn’t it simply be easier to ‘clone’ OPR as it currently exists but with a standardized group compositions and the inability to change gear once inside? Solo queue only. And I get that it’s fun to queue with friends but also going up against friends can be just as if not more fun considering it fosters some competition.
For instance 6 heavy loadouts, 6 medium loadouts, 6 light loadouts, and 2 random loadouts?
Queue wouldn’t initiate the match until these roles are fulfilled. Those of course can be adjusted with the thought of incorporating healers. But even limiting any OPR to 3 life staff users max seems fine if the other team is also under the same restriction.
I feel like muskets/bows wouldn’t seem as overpowered if you didn’t have 12 of them on premade teams. Of course you can leave free for all OPR up and let people suffer but I just think with a little preset organization it could alleviate so much of the imbalance that currently exists within organized PVP.
This could also apply to wars. But I still think company ownership of territory should be dismantled entirely. Again, cool on paper, absolute blunder with implementation.
