True. But actually i was not one of the people that complained about GA even when i used bow a lot back then. No reason they need to change the gameplay of weapons (in almost all cases though there are some exceptions such as bugs etc). Nerf damages slightly and then analyze or actually the best way to fix a lot is UP THE DAMAGES on the counters to the “strong weapon”.

I now use a large variety of weapons. But I do wish they revert the GA back and the bow (jump cancel nerf makes complete sense but no reason there’s permanent delays after attacking). Stamina and abilities should cancel recovery periods. Game is becoming more clunky and clunky than ever before.

My gripe with jump canceling is that it did more than what people claim.

If a spear player throws his spear at you, and you jump, you won’t get knocked down, if a gwell comes flying at you and you jump, you won’t get stuck. If you do any type of ability to someone to make them rooted or stunned or tripped and they jump nothing happens. They receive damage but will not be stunned. Jumping is broken as hell.

I mean the jump cancel in general, okay i get it. Did i use it? Sure did. And actually it was fun as hell, I am not going to lie. But i do get why that is gone.
But why the hell is there a 0.33 second PERMANENT delay after shooting an arrow?? Should at least be able to use stamina to get out of the recovery period (also some abilities should cancel it too but that’s a different story)

I would have never started bow jumping if the bow did not feel so clunky after the buffer window patch in December. And that’s what i hope people realize, that yes it is more obvious with bow, but the direction we are going with all these buffer windows and delays is ultimately going to destroy the fun in combat in this game for all weapons and classes. That worries me.

Everything u said is facts bro. Why is there an extra time delay. They made it MORE clunky…

I think it’s kind of hilarious they got nerfed. They were the loudest cry babies about great axe and hammer. Dimwits never learn. Once you start whining for nerfs and get them started…the shit never stops. Very few developers actually play the games they make so they’re essentially clueless. When you open a can of worms…be prepared to eat a bunch of them yourself1

Enjoy the fruits of your nerf cries

A simple fact needs to be stated. MMO’s are not conducive to pvp game play. The combat systems simply can not work good for pvp. No matter how hard these supposed ‘pvp gods’ want it to be.

Again, i was not one of those bow users that whined about it. Yes at one point there was no doubt that GA was top tier. But in every game there is a top tier. At least the bottom tier should still be fun to play. The nerfs are changing the “fun” in the weapon, because they aren’t nerfing the actual GA damage or bow damage only, they literally changed how the weapon works.

It’s really not that difficult to balance the two in my opinion. Mainly because respeccing, perks, and classes are all interchangeable unlike most MMOs.
Yeah it sucks to have two different sets of gear and have to respec between pve and pvp, but it’s doable.

Yup exactly. Whole reason bow jumping started initially was to make the bow not feel clunky. It was only after then that people started doing it they realized it could shoot faster (if done correctly) and cancel some stun abilities (spear sweep).

They literally made the bottom line problem worse lol…

I’m glad you weren’t one of the fools whining for nerfs. It sounds like you know this is absolutely not a good thing to beg for in any game. Nerfs are an enormous negative as they make things in games simply less fun to use. Developers that do not play the crap they write are oblivious to the problems they cause with their nerf bats. They just look at numbers and nerf the shit out of things based on those numbers as opposed to real life in game use.

God forbid someone in a game actually feel powerful using the weapons and gear available in said game. Warframe is one of the few games I’ve played in 30 some years that downright was not afraid to let their players feel kick ass powerful. And the player base of Warframe absolutely love their developers for this and many other good reasons.

Completely agreed. Also, I prefer everyone to feel strong than everyone to feel weak haha. Both are balanced, just two different approaches.

Regardless of the overall power of any weapon, they really really need to think hard on changing the actual gameplay of any weapon (not just the damages). That is not a good incentive for people to keep playing a game. If their argument is “well we want to attract new people”, the new people would never be able to tell the difference. Keep the fun if the weapon is fun. Stop changing gameplay and making players feel the weapon they became accustomed to, less fun.

I feel like I hear as much bad about Warframe as good tbh. Tried it, it’s not for me so I can’t judge too much rly.

Eventually i guess every weapon will be so nerfed into the ground that none of us will be able to kill each other. Will just be a never-ending potion fest lol. That does not sound fun.

Killing mobs only getting slower too.

and what you get out of this???
game will be same for everyone and all classes useless

Nothing wrong with it not being for you. Everyone has their likes and dislikes when it comes to game genres. I was just trying to point out that they’re not afraid to let players feel powerful and useful. Most game developers are completely clueless as they don’t play the games they make.

Ive never complained until the current meta of high con, strong armor, with VG and ice spike.

I am 500 hour bow main and played the “OP” medium armor bow rapier build. With the .33 jump delay this build is dead.

I dropped 20k to go to light armor last night and found success in OPR as the rolls helped compensate for no bunny hop.

My only fear is that light may be crap in 1v1. Still experimenting.

I will adapt and find something viable but I’ve played a ton of bow and I am struggling to get by right now.

I think all ranged classes and melee are struggling idk why everyone is turning against eachother. We all suck and need to nerf con buffs and VG.

Bow is just so outplayable right now due to the 0.33 delay. And bow you literally have no option for the 0.33 delay, you cant use stamina or another ability to cancel it. I mean the whole thing is just ridiculous.

The 20% damage nerf will make bow completely useless. Musket of go for the standard pvp setup: GA/WH or VG/IG, that is all there is now.

I was HW and GA. My problem is that they added an insane bug to the weapon on top of nerf. But now that bow dies, then the game balance is going to be nothing but musket and IG VG. I want more weapons to be strong and a variety of weapons to be useful.
