Half players in 2 weeks?

Getting to lvl 100 wood and mining was such a letdown… wyrwood worth nothing due to the wooden dogs and of course iron is the only thing worth mining. So much iron required to level up weaponsmithing. I have lost interest in leveling crafting at all which was half the game for me.

At 9:25 in the morning on a Sunday? Whodathunk…

To be expected when you have a ton of streamers that all stream the flavor of the week and their followers follow them.

New World… MMORPG. Not really.

If you take into account that the numbers are clear here on Steam (there is no other platform where the game is run) it’s pretty tough. 50% less players, that in week 3.

Currently, a negative report after the other to the game. In my circles of friends 5/8 don’t play the game anymore either. They see no point in investing time in an unfinished game.

The players have been forced to start on different servers since release because the success turned out so “unexpectedly”.

Little by little, a smaller and smaller community will continue to form and remain loyal to the game. Fortunately, Amazon is behind it and not Gameforge.

That is still one of best score You can ask for XD

I dont mind grind, infact i love it. Killing mobs to no end just to see what they drop, exploring where i have never been before. Coming from lineage 2, best mmorpg of all time.
The difference is, lineage 2 had content.

Now i get that New world is new, and i don’t expect it to have the same amount of content as an old mmorpg.
But atleast give us different mobs? different houses and animals? I wouldn’t mind finding wolfs in every zone, but i don’t want to find everything the same.

It killed the excitement completely. Knowing i’ve already seen everything and i’m just level 31 xD

How is it being stomped by e.g. Runescape? Runescape hits roughly 150k concurrent players max during a day.

New World is still on a rate roughly 3 - 4 times as high as that.

It’s baffling how many people don’t seem to understand the definition of concurrent, it’s silly.

If they fix the clunky combat I wrote about here [IMPORTANT] Animations blocking user input is a terrible thing and they fix the buggy/laggy core game mechanics, which I have to say are very addictive and fun, then they have an amazing game.

Economy… Yeh that is a big deal too but it’s hard to see how this will play out in time, small changes they’re likely to make can have a dramatic impact on it.

That streamer is a) a joke, b) an idiot, and c) doesn’t do crafting/refining/gathering. And didn’t max all weapons/watermark.

He didn’t do 9/10ths of the game. So he could say there was nothing else.

Yeah, pretty much this.

Though while it applies to shitty games, it also applies to hyped games aswell.
New World isn’t the best game, and certainly not a wow killer, but it’s not that bad either. It’s just amazon’s first real game, and yeah, they suck.

But this kinda was expected. Most likely the only reason why they not axed it after all that delay and failed game releases, is that they don’t want to be even more of a joke in the industry, but most likely they already abandoned New World (just look at the lot of bugs and issues not addressed since months).
Lost Ark already gonna hit soon, and that is most likely better than what they could ever make out from their recycled survival game.

Yup… Lots of lazyness, rushness to the game. There is this cool waterfall, then at the bottom there is NO water, then continues on as a river a few yards away… Rushed, lazyness if I ever saw it, and the waterfall is a minor thing.

people got no patience these days …

maybe many of us wanting something fresh after 16+ years of same gaming

Im not sure I entirely agree. I do agree with you that Amazon needs to work hard to save their game at-least in the sense that lots of work needs to be done to improve it. Im not sure about your opinion/data on player number statistics though.
