Yeah they are going to leave it at that. No event. We aren’t getting the skins and furniture that are already shown in the menus this year. Very, very disappointing. I don’t see how it would look bad to have the preplanned event even though there are bugs elsewhere that need fixing. Not like it would be the same people working on it for the most part, the artwork wasn’t already done, or this game isn’t successful enough that they shouldn’t already have been hiring more people.
Calling skins in a cash shop an “event”. Some people have low standards, and then there’s those who have none.

I didn’t call it an “event” that was @NW_Mugsy who I am assuming was including the skins as an event when they said there would be none. To me that is not really an event and we already discussed that in this thread if you look over it.
The skins and furniture are already done, it’s not adding anything. Look in the menus.
For sale, sure, but an event? No.

Since the patch is near again, do you think the In-game Store will, now have the new skins?
I’m hoping so. It would be really sad if they left out the halloween event completely until next year.
Potentially, some of them may have been intended to be earned as event rewards or twitch drops. So they might not sell all of them.
That skeleton armor is the only reason I’m still playing this game. If they don’t release it today, I’ll probably drop the game.
Man if you’re waiting just for an armor you should probably just drop it anyway. If an armor is the only thing keeping you here, it sounds like you’re not really enjoying it very much.
At least put the Halloween stuff into the store 
income for you and we still have Halloween skins. A game with no Halloween would make me sad

Why do you all want skins to be bought for $$$? Is it too wrong to ask for skins, just regular armor perhaps making it into skin section, being available by gameplay instead of using wallet to acquire.
I think looking good is a right that every MMORPG player has, and with this hideous armor design of 85% of the items it’d be more than welcome to have skins working the way transmog does in Wow.
It would hurt the cash flow of the cash shop, sure, but those still interested in buying the shop armors could do that.
This game has awful armor design so far. So the only chance to get a good looking character is buying skins from the store.

Why not ? if you dont want it, dont buy it. Done, i support the game how i can I did it also in GW2 so for me its okay.
Because it’s generic when there are only a handful of sets available. Why aren’t some pvp or excavation rewards visually unique and work as skins too, even if the stats happen to suck?
It would take nothing away from the people buying the handful of sets for ridiculous prices, and I don’t understand why such a big part or a game should be locked behind a paywall.
If you don’t want to pay skip it, done.
If it would give more people like you guild wars 2 would be dead long ago.
There is no subscription in this game and skins will provide and ongoing source of revenue. This is very normal for MMORPGs and other games these days and I like it. It’s not much money anyway and some of these halloween skins look really cool, worth paying for. You are getting something or reasonable value for the money.
This is a huge disappointment, Amazon. Why tease us then stumble like this?
I don’t say they should remove the cash shop, all I’m asking for is to have items you LOOT in the game to be used as skins too. That’s not too much to ask, yeah? The items are already in the game, obtainable by playing it, why cannot they be used as skins for visually less appealing items?? That would not take anything away from you if you want to buy generic items that anybody can have. Why should everybody look the same and use the exact same appearance? I’d rather see variations, and better looking gear being harder to obtain.
