I have a 580 weapon with 300 attribute and even with empower, I max out on players at around 4k. I that is a cloth user without pvp gear. And when people have heavy armor with resilience and eat the bugged OPR food I hit for 450 under the best circumstances. As broken as hatchet is right now, it’s still not enough to kill a sword and board healer pulling out all the stops.
Should it be fixed? Absolutely. It’s broken crazy right now. But don’t lie about the numbers.

LOL, ban. Sure. Will hatchets get fixed? Eventually. Will AGS ban anyone for using them? Nope.
How do I exploit it? I used a weapon and a skill that is in the skill tree. LOL
It might be bad programming on their end. If so then they need to remove the skill from the tree and give us a free respec. You don’t ban players for using the weapon and skill tree.

Since they probably won’t ban people for using it, people should take a community-led approach. On my server, all of the large companies are kicking & black listing people who are known to repeatedly use the hatchet exploit in PvP. Several high-profile players have been kicked & publicly shamed in global and I haven’t seen these players since - presumably they decided to transfer.
It’s an effective deterrent for most people - there’s only a few hatchet-abusers in OPR, and they’re usually no-name, no-company solo players. Even then, these players are being blacklisted in PvE groups & elite farms.

You’re losing out on nothing other than pride at this point. Yeah, it sucks, but it’s not like you’re not being rewarded with a bit of patience.
It is not a players fault, it is just fatal mistake in programming these skills,they will fix it today so chill and w8 these 6 hours.

@Luxendra so you are aware of the exploit of using hatchet? So what’s the threshold? We need to swap weapon every 3 enemies? 4?5? Is it time based? We need to swap each minute? We got confirmation from a dev that using a weapon is an exploit and exploits are bannable. So will every1 who used a hatchet in the last 3 days get a ban?
I imagine you get pinged 51647382 times per minute and I am sorry to contribute to that but I feel that we as players need a clear message from you.

It is for sure a (fixed) bug.
And people running Hatchet 24/7 in Outpost Rush are clearly exploiting it.
It is easy to distinguish who is exploiting by visuals and damage done. I hope that they can track it server side and hand out some bans.
Imagine a person that since day one only used hatchet. He likes the Viking theme. He only has hatchet leveled. Would he be an exploiter? Considering he has the liberty to choose which weapon he uses would his only alternative be : don’t play the game?

Great axe;
Spear( I think you can also have the stamina buff perma. But requires confirmation)
Any weapon which retains buffs for longer than intended.
Any faction armor with resilient perk

No, I have no proposition. After reading the patch notes I realized that a lot of passives were bugged.
But, the people using the Against All Odds bug plus animation canceling from the Hatchet throw and maybe some additional exploit like the stacked Fortify from kills/crits should be permanently banned from the game in my opinion.
I wish the companies would handle the exploiters, but at least on my server, the exploiters got a jester’s license and the leaders do not care.

I’ve been using a hatchet since day 1. This exploit isn’t going to get me to stop using my 580 hatchet just because they can’t properly test their games lmao. Not my problem.
