Hatchet exploiters are growing by the day

idk maybe you have accidently talked to the wrong guy? i explicitly stated that i dont think punishment is warranted, even if used en masse and with a clear understanding and intend to use because its buggy. the bugginess is way too broad and too easy to mistakenly use to warrant a ban, permanent or otherwise, ESPECIALLY since ags let this knowingly slide for about a week.

that doesnt mean however that there were not a lot of people who were aware of the bug and explicitly used the weapon bc of that. when 30 ppl in wars use hatchet and dish out 4k light attacks with the occasional healer and great axe user sprinting next to me at twice or tripple my speed i think its clear that those people made the conscious decision to use the bugginess to their advantage.

but again, i think bans are not warranted since the bugginess is too broad and the sole blame is on AGS side. letting this slide for so long, without any statement is just frustrating and amateurish. i’m pretty sure when they can disable all trading it shouldnt be a problem to disable wars if they arnt able to hotfix it.

and in the end, if you really intended to talk to me, i have no idea how what you wrote is in any context to what i have stated.

Who is cheating? Playing the game as designed is what we are supposed to do!


yeah, so those that exploit the bug get an unfair advantage over those who do not use the hatchet. You really want to see every single player running hatchets? Lame

Just nerf the hatchet a bit, take a page out of Cod’s book why not

The hatchet is the strongest weapon in the game as designed. You want a nerf/fix to the design, the players using it as designed aren’t exploiting.

Exactly. These cry babies know there is an exploit. That like a sign beware of bears. But what do they do? They still play knowing there are bears. If you can’t read the beware signs then STFU and stop crying because you lost. To avoid frustration, DON’T PVP THEN!

the hatchet is not working as intended, the perk that stacks dmg when there are a certain amount of ppl around is BUGGED. not only for the hatchet, but also for other weapons with this mechanic, just that for the hatchet it multiplies damage and stacks higher. this is NOT intended design. you dont really think that the hatchet is working right now how the designer intended it to be and the mistake is in the description of the ability, dont you?

people shouldn’t be forced to not play something because of an exploit, they should nerf the hatchet instead to even it for everyone that plays

I know the hatchet is working as intended because it wasn’t disabled and is available to play. The passive buff you get does not show up in the UI, and you can only notice your damage increase after playing for a while. If they consider it exploiting to use they would just disable the skill tree that causes it. They haven’t which says to me it’s OP AF and will get fixed soon but it’s meta at this point to use it.

its so true though, a lvl23 running hatchet with apparently over 700dmg managed to take me down, a little too easily with the hatchet…

I’m sure in due time they will fix it. Until then it is what it is so deal with it and if you can’t, then don’t PvP.

I use hatchet sometimes but without exploiting. I can see some people are playing how they always have and then see their damage scale enormously. At that point do they change to avoid it. Personally I would but that is a very get subject.

The problem is there are factions asking everyone to use that in their faction chat, and are using the resilience bug. Meanwhile my faction is not using them because we have “honor”. It’s making wars become one sides breakout skirmishes. Why plan anything? The only plan is to get your hatchet scaling to max, keep it, and kill.

100% this. This exploit takes a lot away from the purpose of other weapons and the game smh.
Needs a nerf!

In the video posted above the guy is hitting with the hatchet very quickly, my hatchet doesn’t do that. I guess that’s an animation cancel exploit? That to me seems even worse than the damage per hit.

Yes it is, just like all animation cancelling. They can make staffs go like machine guns too. I’ve noticed the crouch healing exploit never got fixed or has returned in my last OPR match.

i almost certain i don’t weapon swap and even if i did it wouldn’t work against lvl 60+ mobs to kill them

You can’t bann people for a passive bug. There are people that don’t read forums/reddit/or anything related to their game. Probably also think it’s working as intended. I do agree that AGS let that shit sit around for faaaaaar to long though.

No one will be banned for using a hatchet
No one will be banned for using the greataxe
No one will be banned for using any perk that has a tooltip that reads ‘x crit damage reduction’ (resilient, onyx, 150 con)
No one will be banned for using Pilar of fire
No one will be banned for using backstab perk
The list goes on

Unfortunately you can’t pick and choose which of AGS perk bugs are bannable and which aren’t
Because almost every single player in outpost rush Is benefitting for some kind of error in a perk that is giving them an ‘advantage’
