Nothing wrong with trying to find a healthy balance. Feedback is important to the team although we do understand that some choices made won’t ever have everyone happy. I can bring this topic up with the team and see what their thoughts are.
The game just needs stronger anti healing perks. That will fix the PvP issue. I’d like to see a new PvP only anti-heal weapon perk called degenerating, it would weaken healing spells by a percentage or something. Maybe even just self healing.
It’s ambiguously worded. There’s no such thing as a musket heavy attack. Dude is probably eating heavy attacks standing perfectly still in his 50 con glass cannon setup in light armor and complaining he’s not doing as much damage in turn onto medium/heavy bruisers in turn. It’s like for real… THINK.
There already is anti healing perks in the game that function in both PVE and PVP. They’re called diseases and they effect all healing, not just self healing.
I agree a little strange saying musket light attacks.
But there is a passive that acts as a heavy attack on musket. Holding ADS for a similar duration as a charged heavy on GA increase 5% damage.

As a healer, I think healing is overpowered. I think it’s game changing and has more of an impact on actual fights than any other weapon. I have made a post before about nerfing life staff, but then the discussion turned into more of a constructive conversation about better ways to counter healers or reworking healing because of the amount of heals going out. I am going to share some videos with everyone that highlights why I think healing is ridiculous in this game. Some of the videos are my gameplay and others arent.

It’s fucking funny how your team is getting raped in every one of your videos and you’re sitting there blowing all your CDs on yourself in no man’s land like SEE HEALINGS OP WHEN I DON’T ACTUALLY HEAL ANYONE BUT MYSELF. Peak clown.
So let me get this straight, your opinion would be different if my team was winning? I went into those matches to go backdoor and show how players couldn’t kill me by myself and you’re going to scratch that whole thing out because we were losing OPR? What does my team losing have anything to do with what I’m trying to prove? Do you think my team would have won if I grouped so instead of it being a 19v15 (because I had 5 guys on me at all times) we could have won 20v20? Shall I start sharing clips of me fighting on the front lines in the clump with light armor healing everyone and still not dying? What exactly do you want me to do to show you how stupid healing is in this game? Because some of you will find any excuse out there to prove it’s not a problem, including looking at who is winning as if that affects 5 people not being able to kill me.
Man, you were already told - you are using your weapon for YOURSELF only, while life staff was meant to be a support weapon, your survivability is not impactful because the only thing you do is keeping yourself alive, and can’t do any harm to your enemies. That what’s each healer has to do while being caught by enemies, but no one is literally waiting to save all cooldowns to heal THEMSELVES only. In each MMORPG healers are strong, I mean, they need to be like that, they’re designed to be strong enough untill allies come and help them.
You can’t kill your enemies and they can’t kill you. To add to this, in the most video you showed it looks like the dds don’t know what they are doing. On my server there are lots of pre-made parties playing OPR and each serious mistake against them as a healer, one missed key means that you are dead.
The other thing that I can understand is life staff/rapier combo, the survivability of these two weapons TOGETHER is non-sense, and something should be done with it. Again, I’d like to see adjustment to life staff skills or a complete rework, but not the straight nerfs people are crying about.
Edit: somebody was speaking about anti healing perks which is a good idea, we’re already getting putrefying scream buffed next patch.
Also, revitalizing beacon is changed completely on the ptr, what I do not completely agree with because overall dps is getting serious buffs.
Watch the 3rd video down. I killed both of them… you keep saying I’m not harming anyone else but I 2v1’d them and it was easy. I did nothing special. Last video the dude 3v1’s them I think twice.
I’ve said this plenty of times and I’ll say it again, I do not want the life staffed nerfed if there are other options to balancing the weapon. Whether that’s counters (like buffing disease/plague) or reworking it. Idk why you guys keep repeating the same thing over and over, we are talking about balancing the life staff, not nerfing it so nobody wants to play it anymore. Btw putrefying scream is nice and all, but with the amount of time healers roll around and melee hop around, that is hard to hit.

I gonna repeat what I’ve already said. The dds you showed seem to be incompetent. From my experience I could say that I was also killing some players like those ones in the videos with my vg and ls just spamming lmb, but that’s not the common case, and it’s not the point where the game should be balanced around. To approve my opinion, I can say that in other games healers can also kill dds but these situations happen not so often. For example, in Archeage healer can one shot a dd with one skill on a crit hit, or leave a dd’s healthbar very low. And there it always was okay because you should control the healer, and once you become skillful enough it’s hard to die to a support class user.
What about mix healer/mage builds, I know a person who was playing like that since vg release. So, you understand that it was much earlier before all youtubers discovered this build and gave it out like something brand new. Hybrid classes are always rare, however, even with the fact that we usually don’t face with them some special perks should help to reduce their effectiveness midfight. But, again, I insist on these perks to depend on user’s skill. VG putrefying scream gonna be super strong on a weapon, but I think it’s not enough for the balance, but new perks should not make healers super easy to kill. I wanna mention this again: I didn’t see a single healer without rapier who lived for a long time not standing in their sacred ground. So, vg buffed perk will help a lot with reducing healing effectiveness. Even now it seems to be decent, because i always help my party members/random allies to catch enemy healer with scream, and I have this perk on my vg. And even in the sacred ground with beacon healer can (omg!) die. Not always, but there is a chance.

Loads of people have told you the same thing I am telling you. Idk why you think you’re so right. Oh wait, I do know why. It’s because you only play healer and don’t understand things from every other role. Anyways, this honestly isn’t worth my time. I am just gonna go play another game for now. You guys can continue to drive people out of the game that want to help improve it until nobody else is playing it. I really don’t need this headache. Ya’ll wanna play your class… okay play it when you have nobody left to heal.
The fact that when I keep telling you healers are nearly impossible to kill, you keep saying… well my 5 man team, well my top company, a group of competent players, etc. can take out a healer. Like what other weapon do you need a top pvp company to take out one person? Why does 1 player automatically get the privilege of being in a role so good that you have to have 5 extremely good pvpers just to kill them. Just because they are playing a role that a bot could play and do just as good. Idk why you guys think that’s very fair to everyone else that plays the game.

And yet, bots are programmed to run with what looks like exclusively a hatchet.
The reality is multiple healers have expressed the tactics, builds, strategies for ending a healer yet the people who continue to advocate for endless nerfs and or removal simply refuse to apply any of that. “I must be able to solo or it’s broken” is the mentality that this game’s dps community has.
Very odd, since in other MMORPG’s healers have a great deal of utility in their kit ranging from stuns, slows, roots, shields, even some have an invulnerability field. On top of which healers in other MMO’s can just as easily drop kick a dps in damage as dps can drop kick them. Yet here, the LS is a flimsy stick that was forced to be an IV with 6 purely heal based abilities with 1 job. 1 Job that is constantly wanting to be nerfed by people with a serious case of L2P.
No amount of nerfs, builds, strategies, team comps will ever satisfy healer haters.
They hated Paladins, after they got nerfed now they hate Clerics. It’s a never ending cycle with people who want their weapons to free kill the support class without any kind of comp or skill involved.
By the time these haters are satisfied, new world will have become a battle arena.

This what wars look like when life staff is used in the way its intended and not when the healer is self absorbing his own heals.
No healer is standing in all of their abilities in a proper battle scenario and if they do they can cost their team the war.
