Have territory trading tax reduction apply to listing fee

In game I am very much a net provider to the trading post. When selling, there is a listing fee, and 10% of the listed price is lost (I thought this was the trading tax) if sold. For example, list something for $5 for 3 days, you will have a ~$.9 listing fee and you will receive $4.50 if sold. These values never seem to decrease no matter how much reduction I put in trading tax reduction. This is because I recently realized when you buy something from the trading post, there is a sales tax of company set %, and that is what gets reduced.

So summary of fees:

  1. listing fee
  2. selling tax(10%)
  3. sales tax (~10% - territory bonus)

This seems excessive as ~20% of item value is removed from those involved. I understand the listing fee and having one tax. I assumed the selling tax was the trading tax. But now I don’t really understand when the sales tax is factored in. On sale, there is both a sales tax the buyer pays and the seller receives a reduced value of sale (90% of item cost).

I think it would make more sense to have a single tax factored into the cost of the item (hello Australia retail practices). But I am having trouble right now coming up with a way that cannot be exploited due to trading tax reduction and keeping things fair for all parties involved (buyer, seller, managing town company)

An alternative single tax solution could also be to remove the selling tax and have trading tax reduction reduce the listing fee.

But as an in between solution, have the selling tax match the trading tax so it benefits from territory reductions. This would still have double taxes on the item sold, but at least you receive some benefit from trading tax reduction when you are a seller on the market.

Bump. I put a lot of points into trading tax reduction, only to discover it doesn’t apply to selling. Major disappointment.

Holy hell! Trading tax reduction doesnt apply to trading tax?!?!? That make absolutely no sense.
