i am not asking if beacon heals every1.
I am asking about revitalizing beacon perk. because it says “increase healing on self”.
Sorry if i wrote it badly
This is one of my major points against switching to and from VG when playing the role of a main healer.
Losing the 20% buff lifetime from 200 focus is also a huge loss in your ability to heal.
Have you done any of the endgame dungeons as the only healer with this build? Any 5man elite farming as the only healer? This feels like a decent build to alleviate pressure from the healer and also do okay dps, but seems like you’d struggle without
I’m not sure the VG would do high damage even if it scaled 100% off focus. I still think they need to switch the primary attribute to focus and make int secondary, as is it really only seems somewhat useful for the debuffs if you are a healer, since lifestaff will do more damage (which is saying something considering how low LS damage is even with high focus).
Look at your gear… No wonder you’re hard to kill! The good thing is, you’re presenting your armor/gear. A lot of people assume classes are broken and don’t think about a person’s gear. Thank you for showing that.
The problem with the 20% buff bonus(es) is that it looks like it affects beacon and sacred ground but in reality the healing stops at the base-line duration. They get no benefit from buff duration even though it looks like they do in the buff timers.
No one knows if this is intended or a bug.
Is there a reason he does not take Oblivion for the AOE and extra damage?
That sounds fine for soloing or off-healing for the extra 15% elemental damage but as a healer main you want your focus much higher than that - at least 250.
You can run out of it. But i am using since it was out. In outpost rush, its easy to catch ppl in Oblivion, and it does way more dmg, and i am running full 300 focus with no INT added through armor. I have 10 int as baseline. I add 40int food to it to get the extra dmg bonus at 50INT.
I do the same crits like Lemoni around 1300-1500ish on light and medium armor ppl. This is only caused by oblivion and the INT food, but i heal way stronger than Lemoni, keeping myself immortal like it was before the patch. Only a group of hammers/axe can take me down.
But i keep casting sacred and beacon and switch to voidblade, kill ppl, voidblade ends, recast sacred/beacon, and redo everything again.
But you have to be verry carefull on your mp. Be sure to get mana regen pots. In the beginning i had the trouble to keep myself up and was running out of mana, so you need to harvest sometimes between when voidblade ends, refill your mana, recast sacred/beacon. You can always let them kite you, and the refill of harvest mana is just a joke. You only need to hold it for like 2 seconds or so and i am more than half full of mana.
Just start practiceing in the combo’s, and you will wreck ppl, standing in front of anyone as a group.
I’m using this one too but I find that I still run out of mana often. How do you manage your mana?
If you are having mana issues you can try to weave in a harvest tick if you’re on the VG when oom. What I usually do is fire off my LS spells and harvest one or two ticks then toss out orb ect.
1 harvest tick seems to be the most efficient for me. It just looks faster
It feels as if the first tick happens faster and then has a slight delay when channeling. I think it’s because of how the ticks work during the channel since it has set ticks per second.
Yeah. It’s my feeling as well
What do you mean by a harvest tick?
Ope light armor isn’t worth it, PVE and PVP is no where near balanced enough to justify a healer in light armor. I’ll take the healing % hit, I run in heavy only for everything and heal groups perfectly fine and have a much better survivability rating which means I actually can heal more.
Especially since they shortened the range of healing also, kind of odd they want us closer and in the same breath in light armor.
I also use VG as secondary, I use the decay side to shred those that are tanky, it literally shreds tanky builds.
RMB on void gauntlet, first tick
When you initially start harvest the first instance of it is a tick so it hits once. Based on my very limited testing (I’m out of town at the moment) the first tick seems to be faster than just holding down the harvest.
I could be incredibly wrong on that but usually 1 tick of harvest should get you through a rotation assuming you’re max mana when you start it. Since if you specced into orb you should spec into mana return on crit.
So I usually do
3 heavies
Dodge
SG
Beacon/orb of protection
Switch weapons
Orb
Rapture
Blade or oblivion
If you start below max mana which will happen a lot I’d
3 heavy
Dodge
SG
Orb of protection/beacon
Switch weapon
Harvest (1 tick)
Orb
rapture
Blade/oblivion
Edit-it’s worth noting if you spec into orb of decay that makes you slow on debuff I’d oblivion before tossing out the orb.
I run LS/VG and use a T2 amber gem in my VG (Arboreal) works absolutely fantastic for me. I will tell you that regardless of how you set up VG, if you think it’s going to be a DPS monster, you might want to reconsider. I will tell you with this set that your very hard to kill between life staff and the leaching / healing of the VG. Like someone else had mentioned though… lose the heavy armor, it does nothing for your set up at this time.
Ohhhh you can melt people in seconds. Just gotta get it built right. I’m afraid to tell people what I’m doing because I don’t want to fight against it a lot.
But 200foc/200int will be the highest damage statwise. You def want crit on ring and weapon, and every crit perk. You will be getting a crit on most void blade attacks with above 50% crit chance. I’m currently running a bit different though due to some gear with perks not allowing me to get the 200/200 spread. So now I’m 50dex, 200int, 150foc, 50con which is also very strong.
3 really good perks I look for. Nullifying oblivion is broken af atm, Vorcacious Blade very good for facetoface melee and the one which slows on tether skill.
I do not recommend playing offensive VG without 200int for the mana on dodge.
