Healer Life Staff/Void Gauntlet

Yes ,you cannot use blessed perk, or roll blessed, but the one you showed for example is a named craftable. There are different named gatherable, but I don’t know if you can actually gather or not. Thats the question

? How does LS buff duration affect the Aura from the blade?
Also, the Aura is pretty meh. I am getting 500ish heal per tick. I see my SG peaking at over 1000+ per tick. ( 1080 iirc).
So although I agree that void gauntlet is an amazing enabler weapon I don’t think it heals decently at all

This is an amazing trap xD. Looks amazing but the value of blessed on VG is around 30% of the staff version. But people will pay full price for it xD

I use LS/vg just fine it scales off focus also not just int . Pls know what you are talking about . I’m also full heavy armor . I do just fine .

150 int and focus. 50 con. Use con food in pvp. Try that out. I’d suggest medium armor over heavy or light.

I’m not focusing on dps, where do you even get such idea?

I went back to great axe in pvp. The charge for personal mobility keeps you alive longer and gravity well/reap are more helpful/easier to use in teams fights.

Void gauntlet is fine for PvE but so is the hatchet. The void gauntlet may do more damage than the great axe if your targets are not actively trying to run away/avoid damage but in PvP the great axe is doing similar damage on focus builds. The void gauntlet has to ramp-up and requires targets to be close, for you to spam attacks, and make multiple hits in succession. Great axe just does decent enough damage each swing, it does more damage to low health targets, and the attacks track your opponent more easily.

I’d much rather have my off-weapon give me mobility, team utility and execute damage in pvp as a healer. If they ever fix amber gems, so that they scale with focus, the great axe will be a clear winner.

It’s odd for a healer to make yourself go I to Meele range to get a healing aura that’s lost when you weapon swap. Essentially you’re locking yourself into void gaunt until the duration is over or you could pump out better healing with the life staff. Also the range of the aura is quite small.

I think he did some theory crafting instead of using the weapon itself.
He suggests using the buff duration passive of LS to complement the VG aura which doesn’t work.
And the Aura itself sucks both healing and damage wise. Just looks cool xD

I definitely did some testing and it seems the only last skill that’s viable is the right side because it can be done at range. I think the void gauntlet is good for laying down buffs and debuffs if you don’t want to spam left clicktto get the cdr for your lifestaff. I think a good rotation is the following

3x heavy LS
Dodge
toss out orb/SG/beacon whatever you feel is necessary
Oblivion
Orb of decay
Whatever ability that does healing when damaging
Then flow as required

You could probably toss orb/SG and do 2 to 3 autos before swapping to gauntlet for the cdr.

Very similar to what I do tbh.
And I agree, VG is an enabler weapon to cycle in and out of LS .
I do a similar rotation to yours but I use the void blade for rend+oblivion instead of right side skills.
Usually I can lower CD enough to use oblivion again and return to LS.
I notice that heavy attacks make less sense now because I am swapping out and loosing the buff but at least 2+ a dodge as soon as I swap back do LS and I am healing pretty well.

It seems to be the best way and it definitely makes healing more engaging than before. I want some more exposure in using it in wars/outpost rush when the teams are evenly matched. I feel like I get pretty poor data usually.

just dropping oblivion on a firing squad of 5 muskets it’s like you are creating a 6th one  .
This weapon is awsome imo because it brings buff/debuff to the table, so far all you could do to help your members was giving them fortify+extend buffs (and healing ofc).
But this is also a weapon that will shine for decent healers, if you are having trouble keeping your party alive with just LS then you shouldn’t even swap out and loose buffs.

@TwinDadNerd Screenshots of gear/slotting, please? Or a list? Trying to fine tune my LS/VG build as well and sounds like you have a good thing going. I’ve been struggling with armor, finding some with relevant stats (Con + Int/Fcs) but ability perks are all over the place and totally unrelated to my own skills. I’ve had to lean on “refreshing” jewelry quite a bit to keep the blade running, and find that using other skills drains my mana too much to switch back to healing effectively. Would love a more detailed run-down of your build

What’s your attribute spread looking like? I’m also still rocking heavy armor even after the changes. Based on my recorded data it’s still not worth swapping to light and sacrificing survivability.

running Medium here,
50 Int, 300 FOC, 100ish CON (with foods).

I’m not sure about level 60 content. But I’m surprised at some of the first posts on here.

The LS/VG combo synergizes well in my experience. Especially with heavy armor. It’s a lot more fun than hatchet at least. Not sure about impact though.

Well my main gear set is all broken from sitting in my bag and being careless :joy: sitting in my luck gear atm with lower medium armor but still hitting my attribute goals. Um I can make a quick video showing my gear and stuff if you want but basically I’m just going for max medium armor 100 int, 250 focus, 50 con. I bought a few random pieces to fill in for the int when i picked up the gauntlet but it works. I’ll try to make a quick & dirty video in a few here just showing my skills and gear. Don’t forget it’s easy if you do switch over to lifestaff to get yourself some heals and suck mana out of your neck quickly with void gauntlet if need be, i also bought about 500 infused mana pots under 0.05 each from idiots flooding market which helps as well for laziness XD

@TwinDadNerd Awesome. Have you found any VG charms yet? Haven’t seen any out in the wild, don’t know where/how to find them.

Sorry my fighting is a little sloppy while talking XD
