Healers of forum, how many of you are thinking in quitting healing after this changes?

Most are always tab target whole game or free targets. I’ve never seen an MMO that combined tab targeting for healing and aim assist for melee and free target for range. It just seems so amateur, like AGS feels that their players are just ass at games and we need all these handicaps.

It’s quite funny that most of the Great Axe and Hammer user’s complain and we get nerfed. They just want to be able to tank and spank a clothy. You can kill a healer pretty easy if you have some skill and use stuns and knockbacks. A 600 healer should be able to stay alive against 3 500 Ilvl players. I don’t believe in scaling. So yea I dont feel like playing much after this patch.

Can you post here the entire build plus items? I honestly say that my build not working lol how many focus/con does he have? He is on light armor and tanking…

Actually after 6 respecs I’m back to heavy armor with 280 focus and coming in 2nd place in OPR.

I wasted a bunch of gold with respec and buying light armor.

My old build was 170str, 150 focus, 100 con and it was a lot of fun general build, but with 280 focus I heal for more than I ever did even in heavy. And I switched to warhammer over gaxe and just stun and heal since my dps is crap.

What I find curious, is how does armor effect healing? are there bonuses on said armor?.. No Healing comes from your staff , and focus minus perks and such but mainly from Focus and Staff, so why in the hell am I solo guy being effected with this lame hit to my healing because I choose to be smart and wear heavy armor around a bunch of mad murdering monsters, oh and the lost and corrupted :slight_smile:
I get the feeling Johnny wanted a first prize button for coming in last too!

I always ran 22.9/30 Medium high focus/con setup, sometimes dipping into STR for Hatchet when soloing.

This patch didn’t really hurt me at all to be fair, I hardly notice any difference in my ability to heal an expedition.

Maybe they should give healers an AoE raise, with the way Myrk is right now you aren’t outhealing 1 shots anyway :smiley:

520 Faction gear. all heavy rolled con. a 580+ life staff with the healing bonus perk. He is using diamonds, full onyx and a level 11 502 Void Gauntlet secondary. Build is nothing special. left side ultimate, beacon, sacred ground and light’s embrace

dude cope less. You can see all the buffs on his health bar in the video and im using the highest damaging abilities for great axe as well as everything on the hatchet with 300 strength. I have done the same timing hammer CC to when he would go for lights embrace. Healing is just OP.

Maelstrom is 220% damage and reap is 225% damage. Execute is 200% and if he didnt want to go under 50% for that 300% then he wouldnt. Im using full damage stacks, food buff and honing stones

how many focus / con he have?

Just whatever the faction armour gives for con with all the rest in focus

I’m a 306f/106 con build full plate 2 piece void-bent and i must say its a huge drop in healing. Before i was healing 740 beacon and 880-1200 sacred ground (on dodge bonus). I reran the numbers after the patch, an the only way to achieve those heals is full (light armor). The problem with that is with all the elite zones open air and dungeon tweaks, your dead in anything but plate, an its still a very rough ride. (PVE)

Now (PvP) is a whole different problem, running myrk or any open airs, your healing greatly drops beyond the nerf, i was seeing 123-234 heal tics on beacon and 300 ish on sacred, which is totally unacceptable!

Alternatively you can pick up Void gauntlet, have infinite mana, no more pots needed ever! an go down the right tree for extra healing and stacked stam regen on top with the vortex circle.
In that mode you can stay until your timers are down on healing, so you dont suffer the (secret -armor mitigation just put on healers only in plate).

yes i did say secret -dmg mitigation on healers only in plate. Pre patch i had 10650 health, after patch it changed to 9700 with the same stats. So that tells me its not only healing they nerfed. but some “secret” nerf to healers only, which is utter bs.

Aside from all the nerfs, ya gotta look now at all the super buffs the enemies have…you can no longer 5 man or 2 group 5 man most any open-air elite areas, its near impossible. You now need zergs to complete simple open airs and unfort the bigger the group the less chance you get anything from a boss to drop. (healing aspects is even tougher, since mobs are super buffed now. With the reduction in healing its harder to keep anyone alive, suck down those health pots, mana pots or whatever, this games going down the toilet fast.

I would suspect many are going to drop healing altogether, or just quit the game because of the direction of the game designers, (what were they thinking!) Ive seen this happen before in other games, heavy nerf bat, an then 50000 players leave and never come back.

Wow! So they even ninja nerfed armor only for people using a lifestaff?

Ontop of:

  • Heal nerfs
  • Blessed perk nerf
  • Buffed endgame mobs
  • Nerfed endgame loot drop

AGS isn’t listening to actual PvPers. They’re listening to entitled morons who don’t know how to PvP. These idiots expect to left click a couple times and kill a healer. No CC, no proper DPS rotation, no actual gameplay.

And here we are, healers are nerfed. Mages are nerfed. But great axe and war hammer is buffed with no DR on CCs. So the entitled morons win because AGS doesn’t have any clue what’s happening in their game.

Say, fellow healers… [Dev Blog] Update on Current Issues #3 post addresses feedback on how we felt about weapon adjustments. They emphasize the nerfs to Fire Staff and Ice Gauntlet and the buff to Great Axe, and the reticle design for ranged weapons.

They say they care about our feedback and will continue listening. But…

Yet again, nothing about armor encumbrance bonuses being bugged, or game’s maths working wrong. Real bonuses of sporting medium and light encumbrance range between +8~12% instead of +15~30% on top of being additive instead of multiplicative.

Also, they say nothing about the upfront nor the shadow nerfs to healers. For an example in shadow nerfings, there are people already saying that their same build after the patch has less HP (from over 10K down to 9,7K is an actual example in this very thread).

I guess we’ll have to wait and see if they also listened to us.

Just respeccing to lifestaff for wars and sometimes for invasions, because we cant find enough healers with all the uncalled nerfs to satisfy the leftclick pros :smiley:

I thought I’d be alright doing light armour (have been practising it) and keeping my normal heal numbers. Well even still my heal numbers are lower a bit then pre-patch. But enemies hit so much harder that it’s pointless. I can’t even keep tanks alive, as a 10 man group we had 2 tanks we tried to fight flame sword boss from Myrkgard, only for him to kill our tanks constantly. My AoE’s don’t stay up long enough (even with all the CDR perks/weapon upgrades), and my burst healing is much weaker. He eventually loses agro or kills both tanks and I get rekt then, as well as the second healer.

After doing some OPRs and Elite runs with small groups and zergs, I can say that, while healers are still actually needed for those things and can have an impact, I feel like I can’t keep anyone alive ever now. And with light armour it’s much easier for me to get killed myself if I’m not careful in keeping my range, moving about, and timing dodges. It’s harder for me to stand still for a second to cast a heal. It makes me want to just swap out to something else right now, use the void gauntlet or some other weapon combo.

I think for some of the OPR’s I ran, the enemy team had 0 healers and mine had 3. So 3 healers out of 32-40 players. That is a low ratio when you’d want one per group (7-8 healers).

Yup, damage is literally higher than healing right now! Not sure what the point of playing a healer is anymore. You can’t kill anyone, that’s for sure, and you’d be lucky to keep one player alive vs one DPS. I am just upset every time I log in now. Everything I’ve invested into this game is for healing, and all I ever play are healers. I just feel useless now. Probably just going to shelf the game until it’s addressed. I really just don’t have any impact anymore.

Yea - i was a PVE healer LS and sword or hatchet in HA so i could take a few hits when i got aggro
Went on PTR and as they said this is coming in and it was a 38% drop in healing for me I swapped out in live already - As I wanted to carry on playing I have swapped to GA which i have to say is boring and massively more powerful than anything else - but it means I can carry on playing occasionally . down from 3 or 4 hours a day to an hour every other day . Did swap back and try to heal for a group but the increased damage from elite mobs and the massive downgrade in healing meant it wasnt possible so we all swapped to GA and heal pots .
