I did respec out of it but it cost me around 80k in coins but my other healer buddies just quit entirely.
It’s a sad day for me.
The only enjoyment I get is the bunch of randoms in chat saying:
lf1m>healer genesis 1st boss.
for 1hr straight.

no but it is a heavy armour healer like a cleric, or warrior priest or paladin, and now that has been ruined.
I’ve been healing for a while and targeting in this game is the worse I ever encountered, auto targeting is so bad I have disabled it.
After playing with the VG and getting a god rolled Life Staff I have been having more fun then i ever have as a healer in this game. That is when the servers actually work…
meh. I don’t care anymore. I’m just chilling around, not healing others anymore. Someday it might be fun again to be healer. Can’t take the game seriously anymore. We are testing Alpha.

Not thinking of quitting at all, I find paladins braindead and annoying so I’m glad they’re getting targeted.
anyone else notice the endless stream of “LFM healer for xxx” in local all the time - I think that answers the question of how many pre patch healers are left post patch - gj AGS gj.
Also just as an ironic afterthought - pre patch I ran a med armour loadout - post patch basically forced me to go full heavy to stay alive more than 1-2 hits - ironic huh lol

I did see a few of those for genesis/depths and starstone. Poor lads were spamming chat for like 4 hours and normally I’d go but my level of investment in healing and in this game is evaporating.

Hilarious this patch I have swapped to healer as it is the strongest DPS and tank build now

I started as light gear healer and was excited for a change that would make light more viable, but now I see myself often forced to switch to heavy to be able to heal at all and I hate it. (and this is with a 300 Foc/100Con build) I want to be mobile and fast but in fights I find myself now constantly dodging musket shots or GA attacks (way more than before the patch for some reason) and only if I’m lucky I get a second inbetween to aim a heal correctly. If I’m in heavy I don’t have those problems. It’s still meta to play heavy and thus the patch in regards of giving incentives for healers to switch to medium or light was a complete fail. Maybe it would have worked if we actually got the buffs in light armour the notes mentioned and not about 10% less…

this. LA is to squishy to use: the slight increase in healing is nothing compared to gaining the massive amounts of damage reduction heavy armor can provide. obviously, this means they should nerf LS more. /s
With the scream perk, healers are now the only thing that can heal a component healer lol
