Healers what are you doing about the new changes introduced in PTR

been talking to my 80 man company were looking at other games if this patch goes through not just our healers all of us to many nerfs accross board even to stamina kinda not worth it at this point

Yeah I guess they’re just preparing for their dying game to have like 500 people online. Won’t need healers and everyone can just do their 3v3s with their timegated currency gain. War balance doesn’t matter apparently. I wonder do they realise it’s these awful, short sighted changes that are driving numbers like this?

Hey if you have another MMO in mind I’m all ears. This one isn’t gonna qualify as a ‘massively multiplayer’ any more at this rate. And it sure won’t be online either soon enough. Lmfao. DM me if you have suggestions. Enthusiastic to go to greener fields where people don’t have a raging hard on for nerfing healers since day 1.

They truly do not understand that many of us, not just healers prioritize one weapon… We spent time and gold on those entire armor sets and they want to nerf healing into the ground so badly that healers will die an incredible amount (which they already die in wars if the team chooses to fight them, watch literally any healer stream) or they will AOE meaning the melee dies a lot

its not a good change for the game

well i had a 200 man company on swtor ran it for 8 years with a quater of the stress if they do ths patch ill message ya let ya know where were going lol

This entire next patch is a shit heap. They should just scrap the balance changes and start from square 1 on that aspect. They listen to whiners with 0 perks and 0 skill who have won 0 wars.

the people they are listening to are the ones who dont even have companies and are not in wars, just individuals here and there who cant kill healers because they have no team and no healer of their own so they are spiteful and it shows in these forums… its not just the healers who will suffter but mutations, imagine having a guy with a life staff (not really a healer anymore) who just dies a lot because they are trying to get a cast off, should every 5 man mutation comp be dps with secondary as a LS?

The changes will likely have to be reverted or they will drive it into the ground ngl

Yeah it just screams solo player mentality. They don’t care their healer will no longer get to save them because that’s not even a consideration. They don’t play this game in any setting where a healer benefits them also. No wars, no stack in OPR, no influence running on an active server. Can’t wait for DPS players to start crying in mutations about dying after they eat their 5th AOE and I don’t have an instant cast LE to save them with any more. I’ve actually started using DE already to get a feel for the slower heals and have already encountered one player like this.

Frankly anytime PvE ability is nerfed in the name of PvP thats a bad thing!

I’m more than happy to concede something to the PvP crowd on this but hurting one aspect for another isnt the way to do it.

Instead of forcing a -/+60% healing delta to force healers into light armor, why not just leaving it alone and add a debuff while flagged? That way PvE dont suffer and you get the paper healers you want.

But because people are being all so short sighted they refuse to see things from another point of view.

IMO that’s going to be the death of this game…the player’s inability to be considerate of others.

Stopped playing a week ago and highly doubt I will be back. I was considering going mage if I do return but definitely not healing anymore. The dev team changed an entire class just because of one mode and alienated the rest of the player base.

3v3 arenas isn’t a good enough reason to stick around. Perhaps I’ll be back after the summer when there is more content and rank/leaderboards. AGS gutted healing so I will love seeing all the whining turn into not finding any healers.

Healers do not need nerfs. Full stop. There is plentiful counters and people have been repeatedly told of these counters in detriment to ourselves so they see how balanced the game already has been. Destroying our viability in PVP just because of ignorant whiners is gonna kill the game for the few healers you have left.

Feel the same. Just gonna do some wars to get a feel and decide based on that. But taking me away from being a frontline healer who can support with CC/buffs etc to some light andy rolling around 50 meters away spamming triple AOE is taking away so much of the fun of wars for me and many others. When they can’t find the healers to do their content anymore. They shouldn’t be surprised when it all collapses.

If after the suffocation of May’s update dps doesn’t fuck off and l2p. It’s not like I don’t play other mmo’s. I have elsword, warframe, PSO2NG, got tower of fantasy, Project TL, Blue Protocol to look forward to. I can always go back to DFO, maplestory, BDO is kinda boring but I mean at least I get horses. Can always just reactivate the subscription n play FF14 again. Regardless I’ma probably just keep playing NW anyway. Until they nerf us so hard that the best a healer can do is tea pose n die.

With my gear sets invalidated it sure would be nice if the game’s RNG wasn’t such a pain to get even remotely the gear n perks I want. The TownPost is utterly no help because braindead people think pricing everything at near max gold is somehow economically rational. Crafting isn’t any better. It’s a scam of RNG.

Look, I’m a solo player and the dps bitch fest for failing at killing us has nothing to do with the solo mentality. Solo mentality (or at least mine anyway) comes from the RPG part of mmorpg. The mentality healer haters generate comes from what I’d say are mostly from games not even mmo’s. A mentality of people used to the “Core” or “Normal” mode in multiplayer. Where Hud is enabled & sneaking up on someone is often pointless because radar handicaps everything. Same people never visit hardcore modes because then they go 0/30.

I’m quitting the game for a while, tonight is my last war, then it’s someone else’s problem.

While I am not a healer and I don’t even like the changes, I have seen some arenas where one team has a healer and the other doesn’t. The team with the healer is pretty powerful. Ive seen people that should have died get like full healed just in time.

I’m not trying to say anything about balance or whether or not the changes are good. I guess I am just trying to say that healers can still heal and benefit their team a lot.

Ramped a tank to 625 for dungeons, shelving healer until they reverse and stop nerfing us, being going on since day 1 and it’s getting sickening. Topped off with the fact my PvE experience is dictated by pvp wars, arenas, and OPR.

Time to consider a mmo that can separate the balance of each and wants PvE players as well.

3v3s and wars are not the same. AOE healing is alive and well, but group healing in wars and the better servers OPR is dead. Just limit the weapon and the style of healing that makes it less enjoyable.

I stopped bothering entirely on that healer set I was making.

I put a bit of it on, tested it out a bit. Nope.

I’m not going to stand still in light armor just to maybe save one other person from dying.
