Healing in new world has been beaten to a dust

Dude it’s less but it also has to make contact with you. They have to be aimed. It’s not tab target.

Sweep/coup de gras for example. You miss sweep and happen to coup de gras then you’re basically rooted for like 2 seconds.

Which still gives an active CC at the start of the cast. Stating from 1

Yea if u start ice shower into other player face he is cc since shower is on him.

It’s unfortunate that your heals can’t be insta casted while running at full speed. So sorry :l.

All this healing is too strong crap :joy: People die for 1 second literally in heavy armor + resilient and even elemental aversion. Wars are not opr with battle bread! If you grav nullify and shower someone + 3-4 people bursting he will disappear before Current LE heal actually lands on him and without any buffs it heals for hilarious amount. Life staff didn’t need that change.

If they keep the cast time then moving and casting heal needs to be at 100% movemenr speed. In both pvp and pve healers are managing duff stacks, targetting attacks to do that at range, running for their lives, avoiding mechanics, and keeping five people alive.

Theres already a shortage of GOOD healers in nw. This is going to push alot of average healers below a servicable party candidate nerfing possible response times for burst damage.

Just quit healing. Everyone can pot and get a healthy Toast instead lol.

I actually play all three roles and have gear for each. No thank you. I like the trinity and how it promotes teamwork. The problem is pvpers want 1v1 balance which is not what an mmo balance is about. Its group balance.

These same plays who think healing is broken are the ones blaming healers for deaths and wipes in pve.

I keep telling the ags team about this but they just dont learn.

Cooldowns are king and are highly important not just for reasons of balance. The animation deadzones is really bad. I have even seen other devs from other teams address this topic.

Another thing also is that the game needs a 0.5 sec Global cooldown (between abilities). This will not only significantly improve stability, but also will help with these things.

Yea and i think thats one of reason except arenas behind healing nerf. Devs dont like 100 ppl fighting in 2-3 spots and ppl dont die du to healing from both sides. Based on fact they tried to make wars 40 vs 40 and sthis healing stamina nerfs it does like they want wars and all fights to be more spread out. And this is way to force it.

Yea we see balance is wars where you see same builds over and over and same meta with bruisers sitting on heals. This is possible only bc of how strong healing in this game is. With out that healing ppl will have to be more carefull how they group up and position since healers wont save your left click ass that easly any more.

It has no cast time to counter the damage burst. Now people will just die, plain and simple. There is less def all around from 200 CON perk, and the edgelords crying about immortal healers haven’t proven a point yet.

I’m switching class, no more fuzz, but the current heal can barely keep up with the burst damage, now with medium-heavy nerfs and delayed cast time, it’s a dead class. Anyone delusional enough to say that 4k heals is too much, man, you haven’t been on the other end of a skills combo apparently. But anyway, this is going live so I’m out of the discussion, there’s no point on keep arguing who’s better and what’s better.
Tanks and healers, the most harmless classes got nerfed, stamina regen got adjusted, so it’s heavy bruisers paradise from now on. I hope to see heavy spears trolling around permagritted bruisers just out of spite.

First time I considered quitting the game was last night open world PvP the sword/shield blunderbuss 1 hit healer killer combo (in medium too), I can’t even imagine how bad it’ll be after the patch.

While it’s great AGS has finally decided to try PvP, wish they focused on a number of other much needed tweaks to improve the game, healing’s already a joke class if you watch wars most healers aren’t even targetted, now they will be targeted, won’t be able to get away, and will likely quit in frustration.

While I do believe a number of the combat changes are good (the ability to kite was getting ridiculous for any range class, including healer), it’s frustrating to now have to rebuild every set now from the beginning of the game, and have a number of our casts adjusted.

If a healer can be expected to use their heals(which are designed to keep a group of people alive) on themselves, then it stands to reason that a group of people should be able to counter that with damage. You’ll have to rely on better positioning and situational awareness to survive instead of healing yourself to survive.

not sure what wars you’re watching but healers are most definitely being targeted, from my own experience in wars and watching other servers vods.

I know man, I’m not doing a thesis over this. But we are mostly discussing point-target heals, not SG or Beacon, anyway, it’s going live, too bad, too good, nothing to do about it.

The problem was and is that aoe heals arent capped on targets. Beacon still stacks. Orb hits everone with its splash. These all contribute to a lot of HPS that could be nerfed in large scale combat without nerfing potency of group heals. The uncpped targets on these also to some degree add to visual clutter and performance drain at both the client and server.

A problem in opr is it doesnt propely fill groups in the group ui. That has to be fixed. You might join as a group but it should stuff everyone into groups, a lead assigned and they reorganize parties. Give people a way to declare their role to help.

Then you can make all heals target a group not everyone. Only your group benefits and only your group sees it.

If that isnt enough and le is still to much. Change the perk to a localized aoe heal for the buff bonus. Each buff the target has one additional party member in 5m is healed for 20% of the base heal. Instead of boosting the single heal. Now spamming le on yourself isnt as effective. Keeping a focused player up isnt as easy.

Instead of adding a cast time of 1 sec. Make instant heals put or increase other heal cds by 1 sec. Like an exhaustion.

I also think the persistent aoe is a performance problem. Making a spell that has a target and just applies a hot buff for a duration would be nice too. Maybe replace beacon with it.

Bad take, most healers rely on pots to survive. IE regen and health pots with some type of mobility. most of our heals are directed towards our group members fighting. not to say we havent used a spell to top ourselves off. but your acting like survivability and positioning hasn’t been a thing. you’re leaning so hard on “just out damage them and you have nothing to worry about” which shouldn’t be a thing. it needs balance between all 3 aspects of the game. you give every other weapon a slow and a stagger or a snare and its extremely easy to catch healers no matter how well they position themselves its a dead zone. it could be as simple as increasing a cd or mana cost. like i said in the original post. we have been double nerfed with stam changes and cast timers.
