I have to admit, that I came to the forums and read a bunch of the posts about the last patch and how terrible it was. As a healer, I was bummed to hear that healers were struggling to keep their groups and themselves up in heavy armor. I also read that hunting in elite areas was near impossible. I was literally bummed because I really liked this game and wanted to have fun with it.
I mainly play with friends and family in this game. This morning my brother, (fresh 60 tank) his girlfriend, (52 hatchet dps) and myself 59 healer (life staff 20 and void gauntlet at level 7) logged in for the first time together to run some faction quests in Eden Grove. One of the quests took us to the elite area, and I told them from what I read, I didn’t think we could do it. We decided to give it a try anyway, and we did absolutely fine. I had no problems healing our party of 3, and we had a great time. We did have to run from the elite boss, because our damage was just tickling him, but even then I had no problem keeping my peeps alive in heavy armor.
I’m writing this because I just want other people to know that the game isn’t as bad as what some people are portraying in these forums. Play the game yourself, with your group of friends, and I guarantee you it’s still fun and not near as difficult as some people want you to believe.
We have a group of 6 real life friends and family that play together at different times, and we hope to continue to enjoy this game for a long time to come.
Please just take a deep breath and realize everything is going to be okay.
