Healing nerfed on every skill on PTR, but high-damage weapons still untouched

if full on healers have to use light armor to be effective, i think that full on dps players need to forced to use it too. GA/hammer + heavy armor = high damage, mobility, CC, sustain, and survivability all in one build. how is that balanced?

w/e, healers will still use heavy b/c you are pretty much forced to. that 30% heal bonus for light isn’t as much as you think since it’s based on base heals and not total so it’s more like 8% at most? basically, you can’t heal while dead so light armor is a great way to take a dirt nap: LS has no CC options to kite + light armor dodge cancel is being removed so you pretty much have to be able to take a hit or two. light armor is literal paper so even with the buff, people still won’t use it. i know i won’t, i prefer not to be 1-2 shot by basic mobs thanks.

that’s more so due to stacking regen foods on top of healing than the skills themselves i think. with that stacking, it’s basically perma sacred ground for the user. they should fix that exploit first before making huge nerfs to ls imo.

also, how could 10 pvpers who know what they are doing not waste a healer doing that? and even then, why are they not switch hitting to the DPS they are not healing instead. makes no sense. are they all just spamming left click and nothing else?

New healer meta. Make lots of potions and hand them out during expedition runs.

Edit: and regen food. Hand out regen food as well. Then go afk. Going healer saved me a bundle on my auto insurance.

All healing abilities do less while in heavy, have you ever healed endgame elite runs? Being in light armor in those will get you killed repeatedly.

Sounds like a you problem. Poor positioning, poor dodge mechanics. Unlimited stam in aoe heal and you still can’t stay alive?

Unless you have people perma stun locking a healer, its next to impossible, with the stam regen, the heavy armor, the endless dodging, you miss one stun lock, they heal 10k health in seconds and then you’re back to where you started.

should have dps also be forced to use light or medium as well. why extend it only to the healers? -40% damage in heavy would do nicely. only tanks should really use heavy. or how about this, heavy moves slower and light moves faster. i mean a guy in a dress surely should be able to out run a dude in full plate, right?

This would at least make light viable for ranged dps, right now, it’s almost impossible to get away from WH/GA users once they’re on you, referring to the post above me

I never said I cant stay alive, you imbecile with a fucking joke of a twitch canal. I just stated that I fear my build (as of right now, since Im wearing heavy) may not be viable anymore in PVE content like Lazarus (it was an example). Because of my REDUCED HEALING OUTPUT not because of my mechanical skills.

Sorry my well geared 60 SS tank who does less than 600 damage a hit doesn’t need a 40% damage reduction on top of having no movement speed or gap closers if you use the tanking tree. learn game mechanics before you make ignorant comments. This issue is completely wrapped around GA/Hammers damage being way out of balance especially with PTR changes.

What healers need is an alternative to the heavy voidbent armour, they have no light or medium versions of it. The voidbent set imo is used as a stepping stone to grind watermark but it makes it difficult for healers as they have no choice but to use heavy void.
GA and WH yes they are a bit overtuned with bruiser builds and the only buff I want is Grit on Whirlwind, but I feel they just need a slight nerf to the bloodlust passive on GA and an increase in CD for WH abilities.
I personally want to see outpost rush be ethier removed or become a weekly event as it is currently shaping the meta too much and should not be the focus. Wars and world pvp should determine the meta. The reason I love this game is the stratagies and teamwork u implement in wars, on our server we were undergeared and were against people using the hatchet exploits and stuff and will still were putting up a strong fight never lost a defence and would always be able to take the first point in under 5mins.

No the problem is that people are stupid and look at how stuff affects them only and instead of asking for buff to normalize things they almost always ask for nerfs cause 80% of the time its their epeen speaking.

first thing always is to fix things that are not working once all weapons, skills and perks are working then you start buffing or nerfing if necessary.

Instead we are seeing the indie devs half arsed method of the nerf merry go round…just wait once LS is nerfed all the hell some other weapon will suddenly stand out and peeps will be all like OMG nerf it nerf it…

Dunno maybe fix the damned armors weapons, skill perks and gems to do what they are suppose to do before all these “balance passes”.

It’s okay though I’m an old timer and this isn’t my first rodeo so I will adapt even if it means adapting right into something other than healing…or at this rate right into a different game.

I mean even if I quit today I got my 40$ worth so…it’s up to AGS to get their shit together if they want their players to stay… and to be frank it’s not looking good population is down by far too much as it is…

They did it’s called the void gaunt now you can farm and heal. No matter how you frame it healing was overpowered in PVP it had to be fixed. Void gaunt scales with int and focus so actually you have even more healing options. Check it out before you whine.

You do know AGS has their hands in lost ark right?
