I am part of an all female discord server that houses about 50 female players from a large new world server.
We have watched our small and humble server grow in what has become a normal cycle for new world servers. more and more players pile in, bringing in more prosperity to the server. and as soon as the server is profitable and full of life. In come the mega companies. These mega companies own several shell companies, and come to dominate key towns.
This is not competitive PvP, this is for-profit business. These players are businessmen that do not care about the health of this game. They want to make a profit and sell coins on gold selling websites. and as a result, we the people of this previously mid pop server, are now locked out of the content, cannot war, cannot farm, and now must essential pay taxies directly to the wallet of these players that killed our community and economy
I could just about stomach that, if it wasn’t for the lack of accountability these players have in the community. Its shocking the amount of screenshots shared within our discord of sexist behaviour and sexual and verbal harassment women receive on this game. This comes from players that are great at PvP. and are afforded immunity within their large companies. These companies have upwards of 150+ members, and they are not interested in listening to our voices telling them their players are toxic, because they do not need to interact with us to make money, get content, and win wars.
Smaller server populations encourage interaction and accountability, and ultimately are the only spaces women and many other players can feel safe in your game. Without elected server mods or better systems in place, only smaller communities can hold players accountable for their actions by giving them no place to hide.
The current server system means mass migrations happen when companies flock to where it is real-world profitable to cash in. This needs to change.

Well i have 2k+ h in game and devs made legic gold duping, so why thei care about RMT? Thei cant track rmt.
Wars os realy nice thing but teritory control is dogg poopoo.
Shell companys from day 1 and devs dont care about it so why not abusing it ;D
I just know 1 thing, if teritory control will be thing, game will lose rest 10k ppl in next year ( curent peek are 17k)
I support your cause. I will echo your statements about the lack of accountability as well as server moderators. In smaller servers, nothing gained nothing lost, they basically leave as they are the minority, and they want more attention and to seek others like them. On large servers, toxicity is roughly 50% of any social situation, and a lot of BS occurs that really doesn’t need to. If there were mods, every server would effectively have its own team of referees, eye-witnesses and rule-enforcers. There is no need for any negativity, and the Neanderthal mindset is particularly bothersome just because its a game that allows for competition.

First of all, welcome to the forums, and thank you for taking the time to come and post your thoughts here.
AGS certainly champions accountability from, and respect for, everyone.
I can’t promise you that the dev team will be able to join you in your discord server(though, as a lady gamer, I certainly hope that can happen!), but I will bring this post to their attention and make sure they view this post and thread.
I would encourage you to reply to this message and let us know what changes and suggestions you have for creating a more accountable server system or more accountability and better quality of “life” within the game.

It would definitely be nice if the toxic pvp gold nonsense would come to an end.
There have been many suggestions about capping territory gold or limiting it to town perks and upgrades. Either would stop this server roaming horde behavior.
Before anyone says “but then why pvp” the answer is the same as for other games. Bragging rights. If anything it would incentivize companies to help out others so pvp stays competitive and interesting.
I mean no disrespect whatsoever, but what does this have to do with you running an all female company?

Well, stating that unnecessary detail got a mod’s attention, didn’t it? Our topics that also talk about important subjects go unnoticed, but white knights come marching in for a damsel in distress. Makes me retch.
pretty sure mass reports are still a thing. all you need is 30 reports and that person is gone for at least 24 hours. if someone is breaching the user agreement and or licensing agreement then they probably aren’t coming back. just make a discord hit list on people that are in breach of that agreement but support that hitlist with proof of screenshots or videos to go along with their profile to protect yourselves from malicious reporting clauses.
. I mean a huge loss in the current population.
