What ever was done. I now have to stand still and spam the heartrune key a good 5-10 seconds for it to activate which makes it worthless.

yes… the work around is to remove the heartrune and re-equip. There is also a bug where you will not get all your attribute points(I was missing 70) and to fix it you have to take off all the gear and re-equip.
