Heavy armor changes

Wars are a completely irrelevant scenario in which you stand still on point. That never happens outside of wars, that is in 99% of pvp in this game

The only PVP mode in the game that you don’t stand on point is arena. Most of the people making these types of posts play heavy armor, and are upset that they can’t catch and kill a light user.

Also people are definitely not just standing still on point in war.

On the contrary I play light all the time either as a healer or a melee spear, shirking makes you really tough target, so either you don’t play light or you are just clueless at the moment on how much fortify you can stack and get really high amount of damage reduction as a light armor user. I never complained on catching the light user but they already have damage and mobility and when they make a mistake they should die not like now taking tons of hits.

That is true for every armor class, not just light. There is a reason muskets shoot light and not heavy players. It isn’t because light is more tanky.

fix the dodge, the fortity difference,
light armor meta is due to the shirking energy and fortify, and the smooth dodge transition.

nerf dodge so that it requires minimum 40-50 stamina to roll, so ppl cant roll on 1 stamina.
you will need to think twice before u roll twice in a roll
or make a internal dodge cd like 1 sec, so you cant rolly polly trolling.

right now with the shirking energy, hearty ring, stamina recovering, and rapier evade tree, any light armor with rapier can just keep rolling for ever.

slow reduce roll distance is a good start.
Also game need more stamina dmg skill, right now you only have like net shot as a viable stamina regen reducing skill.
I think the great sword will have the lighting skill to dmg your stamina and make u exhuast, plus a dot to prevent stamina regen for few secs.

And 20% less damage

Fix the pause after the bunny hop, then it’s fine.

Maybe a 10% CD reduction at best…maybe even a 5% extra crit chance.

FFS no heal buffs. Healing shouldn’t do half of what its doing now. Every OPR is won by the amount of healers. FACT.

healing makes the game worse not better.
you got iframes, mobility skills, invincible skills, hp pots, regen pots, regen jwers, food, lifestealing, leeching, tranc recovery, lifesteal skills, why the hack do you need healers in PVP?
to make it a steam ball?
besides, all the fking green circles on the ground that make the screen mess as buch of dog shit and you dont even know which circle heals you or not before you get in it.
its the worst healing design i ever see

Since day one people have said enemy heal circles should be red. Same goes for all AOE things. Makes no sense our armor is able to be changed but all the magic can’t.

Healing is dominant in PVP.

Between healer mages dex schtizo and maybe some light bruisers lights not far behind medium in number of players in war, and might be most popular in opr (100% is in arena). Meanwhile you have like 5-10 heavies almost all in bb/ig.

Hahha balance the game based on a mode that a few people play once every few days for 30 min? Nope

Nobody uses heavy armor in pve besides the tank, so no this wont affect pve at all. Tanks already tank, 10% more dmg or less wont make a diff for them

Speak for yourself! Every Armor should be viable in pvp, they are talking about adding a ranking system to this game. It will be trash, if they dont balance the classes before release.

15% perma fortify, 10% divine, 20% more hp.

Solid Idea, Wont make Heavy Op but it wont be laughable as it is now

So we’re going back to launch meta?

Back to launch meta but with more damage and better perks. hop on PTR right now with a fresh charter and try light armor its pretty trash. but on live sprinkle in just shirking energy a few shirking fort a freedom or two. then top it off with mortal empower and shirking empower and your a feeling pretty good.

Medium and heavy need better equip load specific perks

As a light armor user I literally see no difference from light to heavy in terms damage taken. I can still melt through heavy users like I can light users and that’s a big problem…

This change would bring back immortal healers that needed 15 people to kill them

Rework “Fortify” to “Blessing” - Armor Based - Game Feedback / Game Feedback - New World Forums

Going to post this here, because literally all the armor problems stem from fortify.

They can leave the 30% healing debuff.
