I mean you can move. But dont expect to catch light armor. It makes no sense at all lol. Light armor mobility is way you survive. While heavy is pure dmg mistigation. And medium between.
range people have more fire rate they can do more damage than a slow ga or hammer at leat before if they got cought they use to die now they can dodge every stun, and why every range uses rapier yeah because is broken same as ss remove rapier from the game and remove gravity from the game also rework ss since its cc is stupid good, they change the way cc works but left other weapons with crazy cc doesnt make any sense
Heavy damage mitigation means nothing in extended fights tho.
You constantly get rendended? as well as disease applied to you. And even if you do catch a Light/Med they pot up, dodge and after creating enough distance kite you and pot up again. And the cycle continues.
Its utterly broken and futile for Heavy.
Only way we do anything is if you are absolutely forced to face us and even then sometimes you win.
rapier
Sounds unfun to play. But i dont think there is way to fix it. You cant increase mobility. And if you cant do that then it will be always like that. Ppl run away from you and range builds do dmg to you.
I mean i dont see heavy armor usage in any other way than pve or pvp where enemy is force to stay in 1 place like war spots. I dont think you can make this armor work for anything else. Maybe on arena with pocket healer you can oursurive enemies while ring of fire starts doing dmg. On OPR you would have to stay in fort and “hold the door” lol.
Competitive in what way though? Should a tank be able to catch a light armor character and burst them down? I would think not. Just like a light armor cant and should not be able to push into a group of tanks and stand there and fight. Each armor class has a role. A light armor burst character should be able to kill a slow tank in a 1v1 but in a group fight setting with healers and multiple heavy armor they can sustain and kill any light armor that dives into them.
Remove dodge from heavy, apply a 5 sec cd on dodge for medium and light. There, it’s fixed. Heavy can still catch you with skills, you still have the mobility advantage. Tanks become relevant. Imagine that
The problem is, you can’t go in the middle of 5 players anymore while wearing light armor. Then again, why should you ?
Sure i can play 5sec cd on my light armor doges moment my firestaff starts doing 3-5k crit dmg with auto attacks.
You don’t need the dmg buff. You receive an indirect damage buff by removing heavy dodge. They can’t dodge your attacks while they charge at you, so you become more effective with range attacks.
But even in wars, outside of west coast, its not very popular. If its not the go to choice for what your saying its purpose is then its striaght up underpowered.
Man. Things you are suggesting. Its hard to comment. Did you ever try play light armor pvp? Like ever?
Yea reason its not used much - except tanks that has job to stay in point? I would look into why ppl chose medium over heavy. Since my opinion is medium is just to good in some scenarios. But might be wrong.
I am alternating between bow/spear in light and heavy tank s&s/wh or Ga and let me tell you, it’s way more frustrating to play as heavy compared to light. In light I just ignore melee and focus their range. I rarely lose to melee players when I play in light
I play light amor but i can promise if heavy got no dodge you would see no heavy in game. That is a horrible way to balance the game.
Some good light will shit on heavy with range, thats why removing heavy dodge is very ignorant.
You see 0-2 sns tanks in war total. Medium vg/ig 300 con is a more popular point presence build than all heavy armor builds put to together in NA east.
Yea. Medium vg has very nice defense stats and crazy life stealing. So probably can outstand heavy bruiser. Dunno what is cap on lifesteam, for sure there are ppl with 60% on vg, but on other topics sm1 did calculations and you can stack up to 81%? If this is true then i see how medium vs can beat any heavy other than VG.
Historically the build has gone orb instead of blade to let them contribute to clumps without having to go in, but that might be changing with how strong blade is now. Id say the fact that 300 con medium was decided to be the optimal balance of survivability, damage, and cc duration over 200 or 300 con heavy (even last patch when you couldnt dodge in roots) shows there is outright numerical issues with what heavy armor currently offers.
In Arenas healing gets cut by a lot when the ring starts so thats not viable. As well as self sustain.
Increasing the cooldown on Potions might solve this. So the times you get caught matter more.
Competitive in a way that if the Light makes a critical error and gets caught they should die.
And not just roll away spam pots and be fine.
So many lights can just dip in and out of groups with too much ease and not get punished unless 3 ppl unload their whole kit to kill them.
