Help needed: Dropping items in town

I bought some items in town and became encumbered. I had to drop the items to put stuff in my bank. Items wasn’t there when I returned. Have I lost them? I wasn’t aware they went into your inventory else I would have emptied my bags before hand.
Any ideas? Thanks

I think tha bags can be on the ground for 2 minutes. But maybe someone will correct me if im wrong.

as far as i know bags can stay on the ground for 3 mins, then dissapear

That’s odd then as I was to the shed and back! That’s 17000 items I lost. :frowning: ……

I wish that there was some indication for this, as it’s a lot of lolly to loose!

Edit: which isn’t good as a new player who’s just spent all their coin whilst levelling to 57 on resources to level up profession…. Ouch!

I bought materials to level up armour smithing.

I don’t think they’ll be able to help tbh. A warning note or something would have been nice. Or perhaps limit how much people can buy if they’re going to be over encumbered.

I’ve just checked on my ui and this does indeed show.
I’m in first light so it was to the shed and back. Guess I should have bought stuff from Monachs bluffs!!! Lesson learned but I was sure I wasn’t away that long. 1min max I would have though. Doh!

You can also post a buy order for those large sums of mats.

Even if the total weight is reached, the buy order can still be filled, if you do this in the city you refine, you dont need to drop anything.

Thank you. I’ll try this out next time.

I’m not over worried. Gutted I lost about 15k coin in the process but I’m going to delete this chr I think for the FSS. The decision has certainly been made easier by this ofc, :joy:
