Herb bushes and their rare Spices

Currently Tarragon, which is only available in Reekwater and Brightwood have in total about 15 herb spawns. I have roamed most zones so far to search for materials and they are either bugged, and not spawning or are non existent
add to that the fact that the spices are Rare materials they are extremely difficult to procure.

Some herb spawns do not follow the rules that are in the resource locations either ie Forest/Grassland so searching for them has been even more time consuming as they could be anywhere

Increase herb spawns, Up the drops for spices from specific areas and lower the common drops

I was just making a post and saw this in the “similar posts” section.
100% this needs some adjusting. I have 8 town board quests right now that require tarragon. And not just 1 or 2 … but 8 12 and 15. Im fine with locking spices behind the “rare drop” category but at least give us more plants to farm or have them drop more.
Personally id rather just have a few more plants because i have stacks of some spices simply because certain areas have SO much herb you cant farm them fast enough

So certain regions have certain herbs, alchemy, etc you can find that information on NWDB.

As for loot and luck to get the rare herbs, that scales on your skill level, so higher you are the more likely the chance it will upgrade to a rare item on harvest.

Im max gathering with a full havester set. I was still there for over an hour and did not get more than 15 terragon.
Other spices have legit 50 or 60 spawn points … why is there only 15 for this particular one spread between two zones?

Try taking off you harvesting gear and luck bonus gear, and just run with increase amount of resource harvest tools

Salt also only comes from Everfall and Brightwood provision crates, with about 15 crates between the two territories

 not everything is abundant good point for the topic indeed

That salt run generates 40ish salt an hour … or more if you hit other crates

I get that not everything is abundant. I am totally ok with farming for stuff … but legit having to stand in one spot for hours on end to be able to make food for town board quests is a bit meh

Something else that could be done is to make certain materials zero weight so you can carry the various flavourings around to every Settlement.
Like herbs and condiments. How much sugar or salt do you seriously need per dish?

Also, pigments and dyes should be weightless for sheer convenience of fashion. Why should it take hours to assemble your palette just to do some experimental mix and match, especially when pigments aren’t that easy to come by in the first place.

It depends on if salt procs. I ran it last night and only got about 15 salt

i guess. My point being that limiting something that is used very often behind something that spawns like shit and only gives 1 per … kinda sucks
