What my title says is of course anathema with most gamers. Particularly those who enjoy full PvP, playing the market, or creating and selling.
Yet I do enjoy them better. I like the camaraderie I can see and eventually participate in it. I like it when there are enough resources that gathering doesn’t become another means of PvP in a PvE mechanic.
I’m really not sure what it is, but I just like them better.
Do you think there might be some smaller servers after the dust settles after the server merge?
im on a low pop too and I do love the everybody knows eachother feel. I do wish the tradepost had names on who was selling what for crafter reputation. Reputation is everything on a low pop server.
However when it comes to faction wars, there is rarely any PvP for territory. When we have a event to do pvp missions in a zone, no resistance shows up usually. It’s quite sad.
To be honest i swear that people dont really enjoy low pop server but the freedom of actually gathering something when you need it.
I really think that this game needs a big rethink when it comes to gathering. How the heck are prices low on high pop servers i can not imagine having iron ingots under 20 if there are 6 people that can actually mine at once on a decent route.
I really understand what you mean i am on a very similar server. But i think we need to start being honest about it.
Well to be completely honest about it. That has absolutely nothing to do with my satisfaction of a low pop. Its much more the community. As well as the reputations that are earned within that community. If there were more people eating up nodes I would just hope that they are flagged so i get more PvP.
also i have 2 characters in their 30s on high pop servers and the PvP is barely popping their rarely anyone is flagged in game. My guess is somewhere between 1 in 20 and 1 in 30 are flagged. The problem I noticed in the high pop servers is its really hard to get into a company because they only accept 60’s due to the limit on how many people you can have in your company. So you are much more lonely until 60 on high pop servers. Where on my low pop server if there is a territory battle going on ( not war ) they want every body there even lvl late 20’s
But also im not huge on crafting. It’s something im only starting to catch up on now that im in my 50’s and trying to do it while it still gives XP because I know I wont do it without the XP incentive.
You have a great point and that is very true but the more I read people opinions and problems in this game the more I realize that maybe this game is not for me because my values are most of the time not lining up with other people and communities values.
Maybe its just time for me to say it was fun while it lasted and move on to different games.
