Hey AGS, remember when I warned you not to split the community into two and you did it anyway after locking my post? Hows that working out for you?

Thats not a remotely better idea. A year or 10 years will not remove duped items or duped gold. I and many other players would not touch this game without a guarantee of of a dupe free environment.
.
Yes, it worked out exceptionally well for AGS because they got far more new players than all of the existing Legacy players combined. Does this mean that legacy players are doomed to be on dwindling server populations with no future growth? Yes it does. The only other option was to shut down legacy servers and give you no choice at all but to start over.
.
The end result is that Legacy players will start over or finish their remaining days on servers that will never get new players to replace the ones that naturally leave the game as it ages anyway.

Where’s the post then?

Guess they need to be renamed to Fresh Duped Servers. The funniest thing about them is they seriously thought they would never have a dupe on their servers. They are going to catch every future dupe that comes along, so in a year, new players will look at them like they look at legacy.

Prove it was on FSS only? You can’t. You are just salty that legacy servers are going down in population and all the new players are FSS.

Here’s the irony, they didn’t want to split the community into two sets, PVP and PVE, yet here we are with legacy and fresh.

No we don’t.

Did people really think that people would stop being people?

i was doing good on jormungandr. then i get to imhoteb, it costs more to cut gems than to sell them, the prices are soo low. at this point itd make more sense to jus return to legacy

Why does it matter if it’s only FSS? The important thing is that FSS are not immune to dupes and to think so is completely irrational. Your legacy beta test theory was incorrect and FSS will have every exploit and dupe that legacy will.

Idk why they cant figure a way to lock only those specific servers where the bs happened, and not the entire game ffs.

there is another post about this… here it is:

I’m on the fresh start servers myself and I like your idea. I’d prefer the really seasoned ones with full BiS to not come over till I’ve had some time myself to at least approach that point. That said, making so legacy characters can never get incoming fresh blood if that fresh blood doesn’t want to interact with them is unhealthy for people with legacy characters that don’t want the time they put into the game to go to waste.

I could see them making new fresh start servers in the future, and if that future comes I don’t want to have to restart or eventually see the world I’m playing on crumble. On the flip side, there are some of the most seasoned players on legacy, they stuck with the game and had a lot of time to improve their skill, and I want to eventually see an influx of sweaty veteran competition into my fresh start server, not just new blood.

A year is a good amount of time to give for fresh start servers to be entirely untainted from legacy IMO.

Hardly.

Dupe isn’t the only reason FSS exist and the way Legacy players have been acting towards FSS players on here is fast moving to the number one reason I’d not want to get in their server. All the toxicity from the people who can’t even understand people prefer to start fresh with other people all starting at the same point rather than being with people who invested thousands of hours in it.

worry not my friend, players are splitting themselves, categorising into PvP players and PvE players

Working out great, 3x average daily users than before.

And remember that every second you are logged out of a FSS, someone on FSS is pulling further and further ahead of you and leaving you behind.

That brings me to an idea: solo fresh start servers.

Also known as single player mode.

The only way you can never see how far behind you are.
