5950x cpu (amd)
x570 elite mobo
6900xt gfx
1440p monitor
Other games have zero fps loss, play OW2 at 120fps no drops and very fluid, Shatterline = same. Other games not having this issue.
Have played with Adrenaline software and can’t pull off 120fps (my monitors refresh rate) consistently. Have tried youtube “tricks” with not much if any difference.
Dropped it down to 60 capped, no vsync, no dynamic and even that drops constantly…
GFX in game on medium, shadows on low (this PC should be able to do MAX all).
Drivers up to date, obviously, first thing that should be checked. No custom OC.
I’m so sorry you’re having is performance issues within New World. For this issue you can follow this troubleshooting related with the AGS Files that are linked within New World:
Windows + R type in %APPDATA%
Go to Local and Roaming (Both files will include an AGS file) and open them.
Rename the AGS sub-folder ‘‘New World’’ to something different like ‘’_New World"
This will refresh the cache files within New World.
If this troubleshooting doesn’t work you can also follow the troubleshooting for frame rate and performance issues using this link:
I have done what has been suggested and followed the the article. There was a windows update; win10 ver22h2. Crossing my fingers…will reply with results/findings upon next login today sometime.
If anyone knows has any tips for the Adrenaline software it would be appreciated
Update:
Issues are still prevalent but I’m 90% sure it’s the game and the amount of people nearby. If I am in the open world with no one near, I’ve seen the fps spike to 210 while stable around 120 (I have vsync on and monitor is set to 120hz so don’t understand how I’m getting above 120fps…).
Settings: uncapped fps, vsync = on, dynamic whatever = off (seems to make it worse)
Played around with RSR (AMD) upscaling, since NW seems to NOT be a fullscreen game but rather a faux borderless windowed, the desktop itself had to be set to 1080p down from 1440p. I couldn’t stand the look of the upscaling so I reverted back to 1440p native.
Updated GFX driver back to newest driver (optional, not “recommended”).
All in all its great when other people aren’t around haha
I am sorry to hear you seem to have continued experiencing this issue.
This scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be better if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games.
Please, do not hesitate reaching out to live support to have this looked into.
Update:
I turned off every single AMD functionality. (default access: alt+R)
Only place where frames really drop now is in towns. I still don’t think that should be happening considering my PC hardware and in-game gfx are all on LOW.
I tried with RSR, Anti-Lag, Chill (to restrict framerate), Enhanced Sync each on or off going through the combinations until I finally turned everything off and am where I am now.
I’m still not happy not having constant 100+ no matter where I am, this PC should be capable…
I was in ER settlement when I took this screenshot, why the fps is 80ish.
I had the same problems with an rx6750xt couldnt find any fixes and just replaced it with an rtx 3060ti boom problems gone
Maybe it was a driver issue or something with new wold only
