High Ping to all Servers

Hello! I was away for the weekend and logging back in yesterday I noticed that my server connection status for US East was red. Logging in to the game showed me that my ping to the server was ~200. I have had no server issues previously and always sat ~30 ping. This is still the case today and does not appear to be anything on my end.

No other game currently has these issues, I’ve tried Rocket League, Valorant, Escape from Tarkov.

In addition to trying other games i’ve done things such as reboot router/PC, flush DNS, tried to review my router and ensure no QoS was configured. Nothing has helped so far lower the ping and the game is basically unplayable.

maybe that’s a us east thing because all of the us west servers look fine

Same problem going on here and it happens every night between 7pm-12am EST. All other services are fine this is only happening in New World https://www.speedtest.net/result/12209055413.png

dam maybe you guys are just in bad reception zones?

Bad reception zones? I’m not on a cell phone I’m on a wired gigabit connection.

alright maybe the servers are bad, idk man lol

It’s been like this for me all week sometimes it’s fine and other times it’s all lag all the time with constant rubberbanding.

Support is absolute 0 help on this issue, however I can rest easy knowing it’s at least not my fault.

lag exploit by ice gauntlet users, happens every day at peak time, gmae is a sinking ship. its every server at peak time. im getting 30 fps on a 3080 rn, bout to uninstall this trash.

That’s because it’s a routing issue they need to resolve with the data centre they are using. If they had even an iota of common sense they would be asking people to submit tracert reports to them so they could relay that information with the DC to establish what routes are being taken and work to have them redirected.

They aren’t going to fix it anytime soon, because it doesn’t affect the majority of the player base. So if you’ve been caught up in it, then you either have to put up with it or if you have local consumer protection laws that allow you to get a refund on technical failure points, then you can do so that way.

Long story short: if you are based somewhere in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, then you’ll have consumer protection laws that will allow you to seek a refund for the game (regardless of how many hours you have played) because they cannot fix the issue timely.

However if you are based somewhere like the United States, then you don’t really have any options other than to put up with it - but you won’t have any recourse for a refund unless AGS specifically agree to give you one (which unless they are mandated to by law, they won’t).

Yeah that’s what I’m assuming but it’s strange to me that it just changed this week. Previously I was getting around 20 ping to New World servers.

I am also having the issue. Around 7 ping goes through the roof until around 11 or so. Game is almost unplayable. I have also been getting lag detected at 12:15 am every night.

Hello all

Thank you a lot for the report. Im sorry for the situation encountered. Our Dev team was working on server maintenance and some issues happened during it.

It was fixed. You can check Server Status | New World

I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
