Your definition of end game is very poor, I could agree only with one aspect of end game - bis gear but never would call crafting skill as an end game, it’s just one of steps to end game.
Housing, furnishments, town standings with copy-paste quests you need to do to achieve that, for… what? Dead market in towns from right and left site because everyone is active in centre of map (windsward, everfall etc)
Very few people are going to do that, because doing what you describe is the Completionist gamestyle. That is actually rare.
I do not think that this is what most among the reasonable players would define that as end game content.
The above people are just people who don’t like doing what you said. End game content doesn’t just mean better loot, and armor, and dungeons, and stuff, ya know. I agree with the original poster.
endgame doesn’t mean you finished the game, it means you are in the content loop designed for level cap. Essentially, what the game is supposed to be like long term
There is no way ANYbody has achieved all the things you listed already. Lol
And doing ALL the side quests is one of my personal goals.
1 year ago they had no expeditions.
Endgame is faction war, running Open world bosses/elite areas, corruption in the high level zones, invasions, outpost rush and 2 dungeons. And actually in this game, crafting, gathering, raising and maintaining town levels.
however, enough players need to reach the level that these contents actually can happen. As of now, only the dungeons that only need 5 people, and the faction wars, if your server happens to have companies with similar level spreads are currently realistically accessible, due to the fact you need more people at high level for these contents to even be possible to fire.
Really?! Quests in this game…
People want dungeons and raids like WOW and FFXIV. Guess what? They were lacking as well.
This game has more content than those games did at launch. Those games are miles ahead from where new world is but they have had 10+ years to define their PvE content.
You can’t call getting all professions to max or all houses end game. Most MMOs only start when you get to max level so that is what people want. Come back in a year and see what this game has. Either lots of new content will be developed and the game will turn out fine or it will flop. No one has a crystal ball but leaving the content as-is is not acceptable for this day and age.
If people want dungeons and raids like other established MMOs, maybe they should play those MMOs. New World succeeding is good overall for every other MMO because of competition. And frankly, I don’t want to add all the things that other games have, especially when they’ve had detrimental effects in many cases. New World is and can be a different experience than we are used to, and that’s a good thing.
What we have in New World is a pretty unique combination of eternally relevant open world content (every area of the map is always useful for something, for some type of player which may or may not be yourself), a gathering/refinement/crafting megasystem which impacts every other part of the game in some way, satisfying leveling progression if you avoid exploits; I find balancing faction missions, town board, side quests, main quests, corruption events, various kinds of PvP, occasional dungeon runs, leveling tradeskills (yes this gives core xp), etc. is a much more enjoyable experience than spamming only town boards and corruption trains.
The ‘end game’ has many different forms depending on what you enjoy most about the game. For some people, this genuinely might just be gearing themselves up for maximum efficiency gathering and just going to town harvesting everything in sight to support their company (and when I say gear you can craft armor which helps specifically with certain gathering skills, this also includes proper foods/potions). Other people will likely focus solely on PvP, and those who don’t can support the PvPers by gathering and crafting.
The point is, New World represents just that; a new world to explore and conquer in whatever ways you see fit. A world in which you can carve out your existence and genuinely be a part of. The ‘end game’ for players will be an amalgam of multiple different activities that support and interact with each other, all depending on what the individual player finds most appealing.
What you’re describing is end game… Things you do at 60 like life skills and farming BiS etc. Being level 60 is literally end game
But the real end-game is timegated, and will be unlocked when they increase level cap to 65 shortly
I think they mean that level 60 is only the very very very beginning of what you could consider endgame. There are many posts on here describing all the things to do besides leveling your core xp.
endgame for me is things you can only do at max level, none of these qualify
End Game and “Completionism” are not the same thing.
1- yes
2- No and I don’t want to, the taxes eat to much gold and I’m not a fan of this feature
3- Why would I do this if i enjoy only 3 towns and i dont spend time at all in the rest?
4- yes
5- yes for my play style
6- Why would i want to do this, i gain nothing from it at all
7- yes and no, i wont log in while i have nothing to do anymore to help somebody to get max lvl for him to dont have nothing to do also after he get max
Keep in mind that we are humans we all think different and we all like or dislike things, i wanted a full pvp MMO with an outstanding open world and crafting system, not a card game to obtain some useless icons and texts, not a game where over 1k ppl will get the chance to see the war only if 1 person who is in charge want or not, not a walking fest to watch the screen on autorun 70% of the time if i want to walk i go in a park irl… etc. etc.
I respect your opinion but there is many other ppl for who most of the things you listed worth NOTHING.
This is not a good argument.
.001 have hit 60 lol.
Honestly endgame for a lot of people IS complaining and attacking a game in hopes it fails. That’s the unfortunate resulting culture when social media dances with modern gaming.
This is not a good argument.
How so? Can’t really just say its not a good argument and no explain why you think that.
.001 have hit 60 lol.
Okay, of that .001 that have hit 60… .001 has accomplished all of the above is what I was saying.
Honestly endgame for a lot of people IS complaining and attacking a game in hopes it fails. That’s the unfortunate resulting culture when social media dances with modern gaming.
I’m aware. Seems like the majority of the post I see on the forums is people complaining about x, y, and z.
L60 by itself may not be the end, but trying to claim that you need a fully furnished house is just ridiculous.
End game is also not mean to accomplish every one of thing in the game. Or even try that.
Mmorpgs presents variety of contents because every player just like different things.
I dare you to tell me this game has no content when you haven’t logged half a million trees and maxed your woodcutting skill!
Yep, basically a distilled version of my Solution post. This game can be all sorts of different things to different people and that’s beautiful. Compare that general idea with ‘end game’ of WoW. It’s raids, raids, and more raids supplemented by M+ if you can stomach it (I actually enjoyed doing up to +15s personally), but with all kinds of busywork that gets in the way of doing the actual content. In New World, everything is the content.
