There are a lot of ways to make holding a Great Sword look cool. Over the shoulder, dragging it, etc. Holding it straight up and down just looks goofy. Aesthetic means a lot more than it’s given credit for.

I was watching a stream yesterday with a dude using one…and ya, it looks goofy as hell when they are running with the weapon out.
the great sword is also too long and too wide. That also, looks goofy as hell.

Absolutely agree that the size and width of the sword is way too “Anime” then I personally want to see in this game.
I also agree that the one hand holding a giant sword straight up in the air looks absurd. lol

I think it looks cool when held down, like GA charge. But up, i can kinda see what you’re saying.
It doesnt bug me too much.
Totally agree. People that usually play MMO-RPG games want to look like a knight, barbarian, thief or Gandalf. Not an anime character…
Not to mention I have the Winged Knight skin. It would look silly with this sword
