Maybe my reading comprehension has declined along with advanced age, but did the patch notes not say that honey trees would be unaffected by the % change???
So far only beeswax has been dropping from the trees.

You’re eyes do not deceive you, and you are not alone. I do a regular run for honey, and loot 5 trees in one area. For a month i have been getting 46 honey drop per tree. For the last 2 or 3 days, some of the trees are unlootable (different ones on each run), and today after the patch today 3 of the 5 trees dropped beeswax for me too - this has never happened before

Yep. I got only beeswax, too. No honey 
I got only honey not long ago, I was expecting beeswax and got none. :c

This is a good thing. Beeswax never dropped before.
If you lower your luck you should get more honey.
As of now trees either drop the honey or the beeswax not both
