This was from awhile go… it’s one of them 1-out of-3 I was talking about. He was upset but after just breaking the ice a bit, it all went out the window. I forgot I had this picture but I saved it cause I was shocked he wasn’t nerd raging on me.
But honestly, This game just needs a PvP frontier zone to replace the current “Wars” and it would be better off. it would keep PvP more split from PvE points of interest. and the PvPers would always be in this zone unless it was too zergy, but look at DAoC and how it did their PvP and it’s never ending fun. solo, duo, small man, full group, zerg battles.
Nope, its not if you win or lose its how you play the GAME. You see the problem with your solution is that sweaty premade’s dominate and everyone else just stops playing. People need to be rewarded for their time spent playing the GAME, winning should provide a bonus reward but nothing more. Imagine if in pro sports (highly competitive & real life) they only paid the players when they won the game, nothing for the loser, how well do you think that would work out LOL
AGS absolutely has to listen to this person if they want the game to reach 1000 peak players by the end of the year. With this advice, I am sure we can make it!
No, really. Go play Mortal Online instead. New World was clearly made for a wider audience and you can’t have a large playerbase with the type of design you are suggesting.
So what you’re saying is, win or lose, they get paid…
And even the ones who suck…
They still get a paycheck.
Now apply that logic to OPR contribution. You’re saying it should be a binary win/lose decision, but you’re claiming a person who wins with 500 contribution deserves more than a player who loses with 9000 contribution.
Share your logic because your words are contradicting themselves now.
If AGS wants OPR to survive, they need to have all particpants get rewards, and the winners get more.
There is an epidemic of people just leaving OPR after the first fight. I was in several matches yesterday where by the end of it, there were only 10-12 people left on my team.
Some don’t even wait for the match to begin, they leave before the match even starts.
You forgot a point, you’re not alone in OPR, in PVP I’m a healer. If the other players with you in the game not really playing (most comes just for their gypsum and just wants to have the score to get them by killing mobs or build every where), you could do what you want you will loose.
Not by your fault, but you loose anyway. Rewards should be given to all those who actually really participate in the fight. More of course for the winners, but also a bit for the loosers.
I mean, even when you win, you have players that don’t contribute in the battle and gain xp and salt, and you’re ok with that, and you’re also ok with the fact that people that actually contribute gets no salt and xp if they loose …
At the very LEAST, the losing team deserves some amount of PVP XP for the match. Now on the other hand, if the match is a total blow out, then no, losing team gets no pvp xp. Make a team point threshold of say 500 points out of the 1000 and then they get some pvp xp. Save the Salt for the winners.
I keep see the last part, but there are few isolated cases when in a OPR match there are ppl who dont play objectives and their team win. Those guys are usually 1-3 guys, not more.
Back to beginning, I think even when join for Gypsum should fight entire 2 matches, regardless how good or bad they are in PvP.
Rewarding ppl by the score would just create even more FOREST WARRIORS, everybody will focus on doing more dmg for more rewards.
The whole score system should be changed. Or at least reduce the DMG score scaling to half or more, so ppl will be focusing to do OTHER stuffs like playing for capture/defend points.
that guys a douch, who cant handle a loss. Dose not mean this isnt a game, where we wont be able to get anyone into opr. If they dont get rewarded. We already know this is how it works. Without rewards they never showed up before and opr is barely poppin soon your advice would lead to no pvp since they wouldnt play.
So yes we need rewards for them or i dontget my opr!
yes my logic is simply, if you got in the top 10 or top 5 for your side, you should get more win or lose… tf is that hard to understand? Paycheck or not, you want a 26 million dollar contract or a 2 million? you want to be a good player or trash? if you’re not good, then your reward should be just that… not a good one… I’m saying you should get a stock value reward win or lose, but those higher ranked should get higher reward.
So make it even worse by frustrating players even more? This game has lost 90%+ of its player base and its still dropping each week, with 10k being the new low. Soon there won’t be anyone to play against and I guarantee your “solutions” wont make the situation any better.
100% agree. It is absolutely ridiculous that the fastest source for PVP rating right now is literally farming peaceful faction missions in Great Cleave, where most factions just agree to not fight it out. The fact that OPR losses give nothing, let alone wins giving significantly less rating than just farming PVE missions for time played is insulting.
Again it depends of the servers, I’m on Nysa, and here a lot of players prefer build or just farm mob to get there rewards. As the server is a low population one, you wait 40 minutes to enter OPR, matches last for 35-40 minutes so here an OPR is in fact 1 hour and 20 minutes.
So doing it with no exp or salt at the end is frustating.
