House taxes, back to 10% for us all

If you have 200k worth of trophy mats you can use 1 slot in each house that is worth it.

Suggestions to solve the tax issue:

Option 1: Remove Property Tax slider from Company control, provide a fixed fee property tax across all territories that can be modified, as it is already through territory reputation.

Option 2: Reduce the max property tax from 10% to 3%.

Option 3: Get rid of the initial cost of the house and refund players who bought a house. Change the wording of ā€œProperty Taxā€ to ā€œHousing Rentā€

Option 4: Change your TOS to indicate you are OK with toxic behavior.

Maybe we should switch it up so that town board buff missions have to be run by the company that owns the town.

As it is, those are the only reason Ive seen anyone mention that being in X or Y town is worth it, and yet other than the couple grand gold cost of starting that mission, WE ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE TO COMPLETE IT.

We do the work. We hand in mats and run fetch quests to finish that town board.

And then we pay taxes for the benefit of enjoying the buff, we ground our asses off to get, and it lasts for a couple days and goes poof and we have to do it all over again.

Seems a little like those costs might be paid by the wrong people if the town owners get huge tax windfalls as recompense.

You are either trolling or benefiting in some way from territory ownership. There is nothing related to management that companies do to actually justify even 10% of the millions of weekly coin that come in.

Either way. Happy Tuesday.

There nothing fun or rewarding about paying property tax.

Players with limited gaming time either spend their time farming gold to pay their tax or spend 70% of their time walking across the map.

The agency of casual player to overthrow the town is virtually zero.

If town upkeep costs need to be adjusted then do that but the game needs a different gold sink cos property taxes will drive more players away, and for what reason?

I have not seen it happen. All I saw is one town with Tier 5 crafting and max tax, if you wanted to do any crating without shipping stuff around you needed a house in that town and the company knew it. Every other town had low taxes, but so few people lived there that they didn’t pay enough upkeep to provide the daily collection stalls.

At the lower tax rates, we had two tier 5 cities, sure, max tax 2%, but everything was being kept up, so why raise the taxes again? It is just stupid and frustrating.

Nah, I got enough to do without having to drop 3+k a week on rent. This is too much. Not all of us want to grind 24/7.

Wait there’s a town buff that effects PVP. That is a really stupid move by a game designer.

You sound like a jerk.

Be prepared to move, aka, throw away your house purchase of up to 20k.

Casual players can make 10K a week… On SOME servers, not all. Learn how to farm? If that is your play style then fine, it isn’t mine and not what MMO’s are about in general. If they are, then they have been badly made. Just on the Learn how to farm idea, well, it has been shown in this game that every time someone shows how to farm, everyone jumps on it and you end up flooding the market, area, whatever and the value drops, aka, no more value in that farming tip.

Anyone arguing for the tax is part of a company who is profiting from that tax, so how about you just stop and let the players who are not playing the slumlord game voice their issue that is ruining what is in general a fun game?

I’ve been playing since October. I’m not saying I’m that great. Please tell me how a casual player makes 10k a week.

Ok, so where is my reward for funding your PVP experience?

You chose to take over a town, your company chose to play the invasion game. Good for you, now you need to grind like the rest of us. Oh, you don’t want to do that? You don’t want to put all that effort into organizing a war for no reward? Well, I don’t want to put all my effort into the game to foot your bill. Taxes need to go!

ā€œgrumpyā€ is right :joy:
chill out man it’s a gaaaaame

How about you chill out? You have been on everyone about the taxes, it is just a game man, you don’t need the tax system to reward you.

Never said i needed anything. You sound upset — there’s no need to be! These are game mechanics we are talking about. My part in this convo is hourssss old. I was not expecting to get tagged with salt from a grumpy bunny.

Yes Hale & Hearty and Stalwart are buffs that can apply to every home owner in the territory. Also, you can using crafting buffs to craft pvp gear

I paid my tax just before patch. Today I’m told I have to pay it again. That’s not going to happen. It’s much more likely I’ll go away for awhile.

The irony? I was pricing the cash shop last night before the patch because I like the new house decoration bundles. I think I’m going to hold off on any cash purchases for now.

This doesn’t seem correct? I also paid taxes before the patch & do not have to pay right now. Are you… lying?

Please stop being toxic.
