This is probably a worn-out topic, but it seems like it has not had any sort of response from AGS.
As it stands we can only place 5 trophies in our home which to me seems a bit unnecessary when the trophies themselves do not really give you an advantage over other players. Id understand if we had PvP trophies or something but that is not the case.
I then tried to think what else could be the reasoning for this which my only thoughts would be to make us use our azoth to get to our property to then place a trophy, but again to me that seemed like a bit of a waste as you can just recall to your home.
So after all that what really is the point in capping our trophies in our homes what we have obviously worked hard to get?
Perhaps one of the Dev team would kindly like to explain this so we have a better understanding or perhaps this may be something that could be put into thought and remove the cap as a quality of life update?
Hope to hear some thoughts on what people think or an explanation from the Dev’s?
A compromise would be able to place more trophies but let me activate 5 of them in each house from my character screen, so crafters dont have to teleport around and redo them all the time.
This would be awesome. That way if I am crafting/farming I can toggle the trophies on that I want and if I do expeditions/mutations then I can toggle those on etc.
But why should we have to do that? What does the trophy limit, or activation limit add to the experience?
Trophies and crafting/refining/gathering sets, as implemented, are just obstacles to actually playing the game. I appreciate that you have to spend some time leveling up and grinding for the gear, and acquiring everything to be able to end game craft/refine/gather etc, However, once Im there, just allow that to happen.
The fact that we have to play inventory management hero getting all of our stuff set up so that we can actually craft, or refine, or gather (get earring, armor, trophies placed, eat food, get all the mats) Is just timewasting, without benefit to the players.
So much of my playtime is spent ‘getting ready to switch activities’.
I would be more satisfied with a wider chance at getting the ingredients to make the trophies. WTF do I care about caps and being a skills grandmaster. I don’t get the mats to drop.
My reasons for wanting to place them are a bit different-- trophies are some of the best (only) clutter options in decorating. Cooking trophy adds garlic cloves and utensils to kitchens, saws and sickles are tools of the trades, armoring trophy mannequin pairs with sewing kit on table, loot luck trophy looks like clothing next to a dresser, etc.
I agree with the idea that we should be able to place them all, then choose which ones are “active”. The interface to pick 5 is already present… instead of auto-populating let us choose which are slotted.
this to me has still been one of the most confusing things to me as to why they all cant be active and used at the same time, this literally has no game breaking value. It’s simply a time saver and less of a headache. One of the weirdest frictions in gameplay to have to deal with. just allow them all to be there and active and let the people of aternum be grateful for it
