House UI - Freezing uncontrollably, unstable client within house

  • House UI freezes every couple of seconds.

Is this a bug or an exploit:

  • bug.

(if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay:

  • Cannot place anything in my house, placing a cup on a table is taking 10 minutes to complete. I just want it to look like someone lives here…
    The UI is constantly freezing and I have heard the same issue from numerous players.

  • Seems to recount all the decorations in my house and resets to 0. Rinse and repeat

(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue:

  • Sitting and waiting for the client to finally respond works… However, it is very discouraging to even own a house if every time I enter it - the client is freezing nonstop.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:

  • Surprisingly extremely easy to replicate. Place items in your house and your client will begin to freeze uncontrollably until you exit the

Note:

  • I am using a 3090 and this is not related to my cpu. This seems to be only the client that is freezing… usage on the pc stay relatively low.

Anyone from AGS even going to address this?

Or you gonna wait until the chargebacks start stacking up because people bought Housing Items from the store and now can’t place them unless they want to deal with the client constantly locking up every few seconds?

EDIT:

Only seems to happen while INSIDE the house. If you’re standing outside of it (rip if you have no yard) then it doesn’t seem to happen.

Constantly freezing even outside the house in the yard or front porch. I’ve tried to remove a ton of items since I was up around 190/210.

Removed all the moving Halloween items and still not much better.

Used to be fun to just stand in there and play with the decorations…now its just painful!!!

Same here.
T3 house in Everfall. It freezes like OP described inside the house, but the freezing does not occur outside the house structure but within the plot of land.

Very very frustrating.

Same… trying to place objects and UI freezes up for 30 seconds or longer

Same for me… Calic on Dindymon, house is in Everfall.

Just tried to place a hope chest, crashed… and now the hope chest is gone, and every time I try to place more it just crashes.

I have the same issue. I can walk around my house but the second I decorate I freeze and can maybe do one thing or two then kicked off game. This really stings when you are on a queue and get kicked off for logging into your house/glitch hotel. Log in just to get kicked to wait another 1/2 hour
