Housing storage in the March patch

I was happy to read that I was going to get more storage from my storage chests in my houses when going over the patch notes. After a 38 minute download, I got into the game at last, and discovered that where I previously had 2,600 pounds of storage in WW, I now seem to be capped at a mere 1,900. I didn’t look any further that this problem, as nothing else is going to make up for this reduction, and if indeed we actually are loosing storage, then that is game over for me, full stop.

So, with the second tier of chests (the best I can currently make) I was expecting my WW storage to increase by 800, to a total of 3,400 pounds of storage.

So, did we get a storage bug, or did they stealth nerf home storage chests (while claiming to have increased them), and put a cap of 1900 in each town?

If this is a bug, I’ll be back when it is corrected, if they stole 700 storage from me, while at the same time getting my hopes up, then I am done.

So again, I should have had 3,400 pounds storage, and instead see 1.900.

And help would be appreciated.

Doing what NQShotty indicated works until you log out and back in the game. Then the problem comes back to haunt you until you use this temp fix again.

Whew!!!

I was right cranked up when I posted this thread, but glad that @NWShotty made a timely post that helped work around the issue. Also a big thank you to @Calamoor for the heads up that this is going to be an issue till the code is changed.

Thank you, and welcome to the Forums!

Well thank all that’s holy for the temp fix, lol. I will be looking forward to getting the permanent fix ASAP, along with the recall to house loading in pieces thing, but it looks like this new patch is going to be a major QoL improvement, what with the ability to sort my storage in every place, from any place.

but you need to do it every relog/restart

Great threads/posts!, and I thank you much for sharing them with me. I have not yet gotten any playing time in post patch, because I was fixing my housing storage issues, and posting back here, and…

I noticed my one remaining NW friends stream with the map issues, but you have saved me the trouble of worrying about that, so again, and big thank you for that one as well.

Yep, no doubt it will be a pain in the butt, but it is way better to have to spend a couple minutes doing that until a permanent fix is coded in, as opposed to walking away from the game, and thanks for making that clear, as well.

Storage is definitely bugged right now, after I rebooted the game and logged back in my storage decreased again. I also lost a piece of paid furniture and it’s gone entirely… sunrise curtain disappeared and can be found no where.

Yes, I too will have that problem, once I log out and come back, that is. Still, Having to manually pick up all my storage chests, exit my house, and then re-enter and set them back down, while annoying, cannot dampen my joy at getting the extra storage, to say nothing about the HUGE improvement being able at last to access all towns storage, from any town, and move items to and fro…

My friend, I urge you to make a bug report, as loosing stuff is not fun (My first character lost multiple trophies, on several different occasions), but you really need to post a bug report if you are going to have any hope of recovery.

A bit off topic, but after a couple hours of patch downloading, panic attack over the glitched house storage chests, and then this thread, I didn’t get a whole lot of playing in yet.

Yet being the operative word.

A couple things I did do though…

I went and grabbed all my Wyrdwood from all the storage locations, and then began to level up my Engineering Craft, and after making 80+ bows, I managed to make some decent progress tonight.

I started out at level 12? and now currently have these levels.

I didn’t take a shot at my starting level, but I’m thinking it might have been 121, and if so, that is a 13 level advancement. Keeping in mind that I still have this much Wyrdwood left over, I now will need to chop down a couple additional forests to make them into planks, but should have that done by morning.

I figure that that much comes out to another 700 planks, and that is an additional 50 or so Wyrdwood bows just with materials on hand. That should get me into the 140’s tonight, and then making Ironwood items will get me over the hump of Engineering level 150, so I can at last make my own Orichalcum tools, and that will drastically cut down the time required to farm the resources.

So, the March patch has inspired me to put in the time, and level up my crafting skills, so I can make the Hope Storage Chests, which I cannot yet make until I get my Furnishing skill to level 145 IIRC.

Still a bit off topic, but I wanted to document a small look into the NW playing of a PvE/Solo/No Lifer.

latest level achieved tonight, down about 6K gold, and about 8 hours time (well invested) in getting my Engineering Crafting skill to within 6 of being able to create my own Orichalcum tools!

I finally got through my entire supply of Wyrdwood, but I still need more to get those last few levels. And then, I got about 400 Ironwood planks worth of stuff, that is going to use up an additional 800 Wyrdwood planks on top of what is needed.

Sigh.

Welcome to the wonderful world of grinding…i mean crafting lol. Make sure to punch that time clock everyday. Your new job doesn’t pay anything, no benefits, and when you get to 200 you can spend all your gold on the chance of a chance of a chance that you might get a decent piece of equipment.

Hey there Warmongerian,
I see you’ve found a temporary solution to the problem here, but I am gonna go ahead and send this to the developers as well. I’m sorry you are dealing with this bug and hopefully it gets sorted quickly. Thanks for taking the time to post.

Well, I’m a bit embarrassed by this thread’s original post. I was reading the patch notes, and only got as far as the doubling of the capacity of the home storage chests, and once the 38 minute download completed, I immediately headed for my home and was expecting more storage, and when I saw the glitched amount, I had a panic attack. That being said, the very next post in thread solved the problem, or rather provided a work around that takes a second to do, but the new storage system in game is quite the game changer. I know that I have been out and about far more with the new Azoth fast travel costs, as now I can get around the map far more easily, and I’m spending far more of my limited playing time actually doing things, rather than just traveling from place to place.

Still loving this game, and even more with the recent improvements.

Thought I would post this here, and ask what other people are experiencing with this current bug?

And here is my Territorial standing.

So I don’t understand my storage limits, and the extra amount I’m seeing is not what the patch notes had me thinking I was getting. I have 4 chests in this house, and the bug shows me (before picking up and dropping them back down in the workaround) having 1900 storage in WW, but I’m not sure I could have improved the base 1,000 pound storage that much, unless there were changes to the storage perks. My current crafted chests here:

So, with my limited territorial standing level, and 4 of the second level chests, what should I be seeing?

As far as I understand it, I should have:
the base 1,000 pounds
plus 25 X however many storage upgrades I earned (and I know of no way to see that)
and then 4 X the normally (300 pound limit) storage chests, or 2,400 pounds.

So here is my current max storage while this bug exists.

Anyone got any ideas what is going on? Or when this bug is getting fixed?

This bug should have been fixed with today’s patch. Will check this out when i get home.
