I don’t think its a new generation :). Back in the mid-late 90’s when online gaming became a thing, I was a college student. I probably spent 3 hours going to class and then 14 drinking and playing muds/mmos/haf life mods. Then I grew up. Decided I wanted to touch a boob, make money, and have nice things. Now I can game maybe 2 hours.
I imagine that student group is still the primary source of hardcores today.
One slight difference:

Most likely they are doing their best to kill the game. They all care about those who remained in it, the tax on houses should have remained the same as it was 350-570 gold. They killed New World!

and this is with 113 pumped territory !!! no matter how the update is so crap like, not a patch, so shoals that you don’t even want to play anymore! and at the same time, at the same time, the house is an 260 items, all 3-4 tiers, but in the top there is some kind of bum constantly with perdmets of the 1st tier. you can’t fix this!

We already bought the game. We could ALL leave… and AGS is in no different of a financial shape than if we didn’t.
This company isn’t about maintaining a player base. It’s about abusing a player base, burning a player base out, and then finding new players.

Im not paying that. I will let all 3 of my houses go unpaid before I pay that. I don’t give a crap. I have the funds as I am about half way to gold cap. I earn enough daily to pay the weeks rent but I don’t play to pay some other toxic gamer any of my money while they sit on their butts abusing the game and the people playing it.
When I run out of the azoth that I stashed up and get tired of paying 1000+ azoth a day to get around then I’ll be done playing. This tax system has to go.

It’s intended. If you can’t afford it, then either don’t pay or move your house to a town that has lower taxes.
The companies that set high tax rates WILL suffer because the people will speak with their coin, and they WILL have to lower the taxes in their town if they want to continue funding it.
