Just letting you know, they don’t return gold or anything in the past, as seen in this support article.
Your logs can be found at Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups
i found it, sent it and have had friends, have there gold and goods returned in past, when they were hacked.
Good luck! I haven’t seen one resolved in a very long time.
last i saw resolved was last year his name was jarl tyrl but that was while ago. Although i am a content creator im gonna make a stink lol

this is what they sent back, why would you tell me to send them the info, if there not willing to fix situations like this, i understand your trying to help but whats gonna be done if ags is saying there not willing to fix these situations and go after the hackers, it makes this game completely unsafe to play.
P.s also i didn’t ask for items back, would like the gold returned to my company vault but didn’t ask for items, would like hackers removed and banned or game unsafe.
He asked you to contact them to verify if it is possible and they verified it wasn’t.
this is the only game that chooses to not protect its customers, ill be uninstalling im not playing a unsafe game
I would personally be more concerned with how your account was hacked, but good luck man with your next game.
passwords can be changed and have, worrying how someone beat there system wont help me. There is lots of programs that will give you access through game files to someones personal programs, heck gta and rdo were riddled with hackers, that could pull your ip, password, everything up without doing anything other then owning a program. Script kiddies are everywhere, however a responsible company deals with it and make sure there customers are compensated back when ripped off.
Password changes require access to your email (and usually your 2FA as well).
No one beat the AGS system. Someone presumably got into your Steam account, which isn’t related at all to AGS.
RCE exploits are far and few between. Pretty uncommon these days on modern video games. Being able to pull an IP address is not the same thing as finding your password.
Sure, but that’s incredibly hard to do. If they bought some items off the market, should they take the money back from the seller? What if they traded the money to someone else and then they traded it another person? This is a player-driven economy and reversing that action has a lot of potential consequences.
Thanks for your reply! @Seriousmercury
I’m sorry that that is no possible for the support team to recover the gold.
Unfortunately if they check all the information and they verified that is not possible to make the recovery is nothing more that we can do in this situation.
I also would like to share the feedback section of the forum if you like to share your comment about it so the team in charge can take it under consideration.
Here is the link:
We apologies for the inconvenience and we appreciate you understanding.
Hope you have a nice day! ![]()
which they didn’t check anything, response was instant they just are not willing to protect customers from things like this, there’s no way they looked into it that fast. Response was given within minutes, ags is choosing to do nothing, which tells us the games unsafe to play.
there’s no need to, game masters ban the person who used the hack, and compensate from money created by game masters its been done in tons of games.
also i i said i changed my password they didnt change my password as said i have 2f not sure how they got in.
There program runs through them, which since they dont have there own launcher outside of steam makes them as responsible as steam, however steam is a store front and launcher system, which is why games have to provide there own support for in game issue’s.
Games which provide there own launcher, can claim there system isn’t being beaten. however games which have hacker issues and do not have there own launcher cant.
What if they bought items on the trade post? If they traded, should they ban whoever was traded? What if they traded some who had no idea?
What if someone else simply used a VPN and faked a intrusion into their account and traded the coin out and got someone banned?
I don’t think there’s a perfect answer here. It’s a complicated problem to solve.
Seems like a great way to dupe gold to me.
I got bad news for you. They didn’t magically get in. I would double check your signed in accounts or run anti-virus on your computer.
I’m genuinely confused what you are saying here to be honest.
Thanks for your reply! @Seriousmercury
I understand your frustration with this, however as I already told you since the support team verified and tell you that in this case is not possible to make the recovery here in forum there is nothing else we can do about this.
Also we recommend you to follow the recommendation that @JakeL shared about to be aware and doble check your signed in accounts and check if there any problem in your computer that allow the hacker enter and also be careful of link that you can receive from suspicious ends.
And if you like to give you feedback about it, I had shared the link of the feedback section of the forum in the post above.
Hope you have a nice day! ![]()
There is also the possibility that in trying to do something else in the social menu that OP accidentally clicked on "“Invite to Company” instead of “Invite to Group” or “Direct Message”. I’ve had this happen a number of times, as things on screen shift around, causing buttons to not be where they were a second ago. And as far as I can tell there is no way to recall a company invite once you’ve made one.
If you have a small enough company, new members will come in with Consul status, and have access to your treasury… Since there is no ledger in the company treasury that a player can see, if a company invite is accidentally sent, it can be accepted, and the person can take as much gold out of the treasury as they want, then leave the company, and there is nothing that the company owner can do. This can all happen while the company owner is offline, since the company invite will not expire.
While it may not actually be what happened here, it sounds a lot more plausible than someone hacking a 2FA protected Steam account. Perhaps this is something that support could look into.
