I was speced heavily into focus and constitution using Life Staff and Hatcher + Heavy Armor. Then I wanted to try the Void Gauntlet so went with INT/FOC instead with CON from armor, and man, that was a huge mistake. I simply cannot stay alive after they nerfed the live staff.
Anyone out here who is a solo player at level 60, how do you stay alive?
Not logging in is a 100% foolproof way to never die in the game.

Technically MMOs arenât supposed to be 100% solo. Some solo aspects, but not fully.
If you were capable of doing elite zones as solo, it really wasnât intended. Iâd suggest joining an active company, and just running with them. Just kind of the way it isâŚ
The key is not letting your HP fall below zero.
I am a LS/Hatchet/VG player myself.
First thing, go medium armor
Helm/Chest - Heavy
Legs/Arms - Medium
Pants - Light
You get really solid survivility this way while still maintaining the small healing buff from being medium.
I find LS/VG int to be terrible tho especially solo.

Pretty much every other MMO is soloable outside of dungeons and world bosses.
Instead of focusing on staying alive kill them faster than they kill you.
Staying in town. 
Thereâs plenty of casual and solo content before 60.
Once you hit 60, though, there is no end game content for casual or solo play.
Once youâre 60 you join a group and go kill twenty level 66 elite mobs for one increase to the HWM (500 to 501) of one of your equipment slots until you hit 600 in all of them. Assuming your life revolves around playing New World, you should achieve that goal in a year or so if they donât slow PvE progress further like they did with the november patch.

Itâs not though. If your fighting random 1v1 fights then a dps race is a viable strategy. Youâll have to understand their skill set and dodge/block their key attacks to win though.
yea game and community here are pretty toxic, you wonât find much help hereâŚI would offer some advice but unfortunately there isnât anything you can do except maybe try different build combos. I run Hatchet and sword/board, if things get to crazy with hatchet, i switch to sword/board but I have been running this combo from the start, a little harder if you havenât taken the time to level other weapons
I think itâs hard to give advice because there really isnât anything viable. The end game in this MMO is not built for solo players. I, too, am a mostly solo player, and if I had known what I do now, I wouldnât have bought it because there is no real way to play solo. Even before 60, I would have a lot of trouble because of the respawn rates, such that I would regularly just quest in zones that there about 10 levels lower than I was.
Aside from playing the AH and making gold to buy 600 pieces not much. But problem is most servers are dead. Selling stuff on AH may still be possible but nothing to buy with the gold as armor choices are non existent.
Infused health/regen pots, they are in the game for a reason, and you can use both at the same time. Same for Oils and tinctures. Void gaunt melee is kind of strong, get a keen one or keen jewelry.
have you played other MMOâs? every single one of em can be soloâd beginning to end.
I hear you. Even for quests and tasks clearly marked as âsoloâ itâs now a royal PITA if you use light armor and any magic weapon.
The game is âbalancedâ around heavy armor with Great Axe. Anyone else is on their own.
I played Sword and Shield mostly. Secondary is a random ranged Weapon to pull 1v1s.
200 Con, rest Strength with some food buffs.
In Elite ares its mostly 1v1 or running away to a safe spot until they retreat.
I switched to GA now, which I dont like tbh 
But its way easier to deal with mobs with the same stats.
I havent checked all areas after the Update.
Malevolence, Eridanus are doable if you stay/run away from the ones with the staff or buffed health.
Scorpius is a shit show
Didnt check other areas due to lack of motivation
Its not fun anymore, rather frustrating to play solo.
