In the last few days our unsurprisingly imcompetent AGS is trying their best to deal with the duping consummables earlier last week, geniusly by PUNISHING THE PLAYERS RATHER THAN THE EXPLOITERS.
We’ve seen a pattern between friends and duders on our server that many pvp players whose only interaction with the game system is buying consummables (MOST OF THEM ARE EVEN DIRECTLY FROM THE TRADING POST) are starting to get a 2 days ban for “cheating”.
As always AGS copiums show up at this kind of things and call ppl cheater, telling ppl to eat the ban.
Im only asking how do you even avoid buying the “WRONG ITEMS” from the trading post directly?AGS you might as well just draw lots to decide which players to ban everyday.
PS: post from AGS admitting players who got duped items on their account but didnt dupe theyselves get a 2-7 day ban. Real duper get perma, when there will be no appologize or compensation for those like my friend who did nothing wrong.

The team continues to work on removing duped items from individual characters. Players have been, and additional players identified through this investigation will be, suspended until we remove items that we feel would have a severe impact on the economy.
These players will see a 7 day suspension; for those already suspended, this is an extension on their current suspension. We will continue to extend the suspension until the identified items have been removed from their characters.
This does not apply to players who were permanently banned as a result of utilizing this exploit.

tldr: if you bought many duped items you get a 2-7 day ban until AGS remove those items.

im all for getting cheater perma banned, get the fuck outta my game.
but who are you to say those like my friend who just bought *wrong items directly from trading post where there is no way to tell if something is fishy or not didnt respect the rules of the game?
also i found out all you have to do to dupe those things is to try to hand out them while trying to stack your 2 piles of them. now i cant say for sure if we did it by accident or not. cos its 100000% normal to do that and puffff you are duping and you dont even know. the game is that GOLD and hilarious. fuck this shit…
They are banning people who duplicated items, which in this case was super, super easy before they patched it. And a lot of people were doing it, some for profit and some because it was just convenient and figured they wouldn’t get caught if they were doing it for personal supply.
What they ARE doing, is suspending people that have large quantities of duplicated items, and removing them from the game/removing the gold. Even if they did not dupe themselves, if they happen to have thousands of duped items they bought from the market, they will be removed and gold returned and the player can continue.
Unfortunately its a slow process, but people really wanted them to be thorough, so they are.
Not true, people who bought items for the guild as war preparation (100x or more T5 honingstones & gemstone dust) also got perma banned. Didn’t happen in our guild, we had other cases though.
In the last 2 days i got so many reports from other people getting banned, it changed my POV from “Their fault” to “AGS fault”
That assertion is an almost impossible one to prove or disprove. Since no one will ever admit to doing it on purpose unless they are gloating with photos of a second account that probably got banned already to sow more discourse.
I buy and sell, a lot, and i mean an absurd amount of items to pinch and sell later. And i’ve never gotten a ban or suspension at any point in any of this, which is why i severely doubt every one of those posts that pop up about people being innocent.
And i am with you there, but the amount of people who got hit by this is absurd. I understand the x days bans. But not the permanent ones, most people who got hit by that bought for the guild, wanted to stock on items or did just try to keep their stacks at 100. And it’s very consistant in the things they say they did.
Of you see infused health potion / regeneration at 0.01g they are duped my friend. You guyz act like they bought some deal when they blantly knew it was duped item
If you personally didn’t duplicate items on your character, the likelyhood is that your account will be returned to you with the items gone and gold returned.
If you personally duped items enough times to seem obvious that you knew what you were doing, you will likely be permabanned.
That’s what they said they were going to do, and it looks like that’s what they are doing.
It’s fine if you believe their words, but many people have written their concerns that they think they were unjustified banned. Way more than usual, especially compared to the smaller playerbase.
My POV is that their metrics to determin a full on duper, are flawed. Given the history how bad AGS is in implementing anything. I mean remember when people got 100k+ gold from AGS themself aka “ Congratulations”.
You really can’t tell with these people. They don’t review anything and it’s all automated. No one reviews appeals or provides information about why - because they don’t have a system in place.
This is just another large problem that cost them a great game. They’ll ban their way to unemployment eventually.

Agree with you. I also bought a lot of stuff during the period where people were exploiting this bug and thankfully I did not get banned. I bought a lot of stuff for townboard quests etc. since can be lazy to farm for myself for townboards lol.
Although I think mistake can happen with the banning, I think a lot of people will indeed feign innocence since a lot who discovered the bug did exploit it even if not for profit. A lot of people used the duped to make lots of those coatings etc. and distributed it among their company and friends.
Totally agree. I’m doing my living from reselling stuffs or money from 2 daily Laz/Gen, OPR, Invasions, Wars.
I never got banned or suspended. I’ve had my buy orders and sell orders during dupe period, but I didnt touch a single event food or anything that felt fishy.
But as I said in another thread, sadly now ppl feel smart and intelligent for abusing, exploiting and hacking. They do it without any remorse or feeling bad, unfortunately.
But when they get red handed they come up with lame excuses or blaming game company for their abuse, hack or cheat. Or they call their guildies or friends to create threads and act like victims and innocents on forum.
I’m still glad that there are some ppl that value more dignity, honesty and have respect for themself in the first place, then also respect for the game!
