I don’t care who is posting what. “My wife/sister/friend/brother/etc… did NOTHING but got banned!” Those people might be right, but they could equally be fully guilty and just hoping that putting out a sob story on the forums gets their bot or cheater unbanned. Sure, I believe that some of these people might be right, but I don’t know. You know who does know? AGS. They can look at the logs.
Also, just because your friend tells you they didn’t cheat doesn’t mean they didn’t cheat. News flash: People lie. I certainly don’t think AGS is above making mistakes (just look at the bugs that happen every patch), but I do believe the last thing AGS wants to do at this point is ban a player who did nothing wrong. I tend to side with the people who have a personal stake in keeping populations high that IF they ban a player they had a reason to do so.

Unless the real goal is to shut this game down and pretend like it never happened. Bet they need to get it down to like 10k or 5k, so crappy patch after crappy patch, weird bugs, crazy zerfs and changes to frustrate even the town dwelling crafters.
Then get super loose with the ban hammer… boom down to the desired number… they dont know how hard it is to get these fanbois to leave though, like that weird friend still at your party when it is just you,your girl and him… they severly underestimate how hard it will be to get people to leave.

dont know if you deliberately avoid my one big point THAT AGS BANS EVERYONE WHO HAS DUPED ITEMS NO MATTER THEY DUPED THEMSELVES OR NOT.
if you accidently bought them from trading post like my friend you get a 2-7 day ban until their investigation ends. the real duper got perma. but no apologize or compensation for the wrongfully banned.

Anyone saying that AGS is banning people from buying duped items from TP is full of rubbish.
Do you really thing AGS lack the means to track every transaction in this game??
If you are a duper and know a duper you’re to blame for everyone else being dragged through the mud for your blatant cheating.
You should all be perma banned good riddance.
If you suck so bad in a game that you have to cheat to get an edge over others then you need to take a long look in the mirror.

Hi all,
The team continues to work on removing duped items from individual characters. Players have been, and additional players identified through this investigation will be, suspended until we remove items that we feel would have a severe impact on the economy.
These players will see a 7 day suspension; for those already suspended, this is an extension on their current suspension. We will continue to extend the suspension until the identified items have been removed from their characters.
This does not apply to players who were permanently banned as a result of utilizing this exploit.

This thread it’s getting out of hand with all fake news and statements about BANS. While they should settle this on their personal BAN APPEAL, not on general chats.

my friend did nothing wrong. first of all pots stack at 100. there wont be a stack of 10000 if you dont really play the game just here to judge fyi.
second, only dumb ppl would think dupers are as dumb as them to sell duped items at a fishy strange 0.01 price or something.
I dont think I have every purchased a potion on the TP, I have hundreds of them in the bank just from doing daily stuff.
No here is what y’all cheaters did … you used TP to launder your duped crap and got caught.
Cheater buddy 1 - places stacks of duped crap for .01.
Cheater buddy 2 with little feet - waits on TP to grab items.
Y’all got busted live with consequences … you should have been perma banned.

I sell stuff and buy stuff all day long on the TP. Alot of my buy orders are on the very low end for consumables (hoping to catch the period of time when the higher priced orders are filled and not replaced). I had no issues with getting banned because Im not duping, not laundering goods for other people, and not doing sketchy stuff on the TP. Simple.
What do you not comprehend??? If you occasionally bought an item on TP unknowing then you’re not getting banned.
You’re either a troll and / or someone who profited from a duper buddy “cleaning” items on the TP just so you can come here all self righteous.
Get over yourself … if you cheat you ruin the game for everyone just trying to play and enjoy a damn game, and you should be perma banned.

He and all ppl who dont abused dupes were lucky. Dupe abusers were unlucky.
I work in software and trust me when i say … every item in this game created has a GUID identifier, Created By, Created When, Created Where, and etc.
They also can track every transaction granular …
It’s an easy query to figure out who has what and how much and where you got it.
The problem is AGS has been so busy fighting exploits and bugs that they finally got around to focusing on your duper/cheaters because you went too far.
You just had to abuse it and you think you’re so freaking clever. lol
Think about the content and and enhancements we might have at this point if they weren’t burning cycles on other things.

Im aware of how it works lol. This is why I usually don’t buy anybodies story. Its either their story is full of crap or AGS is so incompetent that they didn’t design their items to have their own unique id’s.
