I’d like to bring friends-list back to light.
I’ve been playing this game since launch, and for as long as I can remember I’ve had to scroll-down-scroll-up to refresh/fix my friends list. I do it constantly, like probably once every 30 minutes.
For such a pivotal aspect of the game, how this is tolerated still is beyond me.
Please, can we prioritise this? Surely it’s trivial to fix
They will say “we have other more important things to prioritize” as usual
Because many players here dont have friends. Lol
I’d like to think it would be an easy win for the devs

One of the most annoying qol bugs this game has had for nearly a year now. And good luck checking anyone’s company by mousing over them either…
They still ltrying to figure out how to add doors to the game… So fixing friend list is not dooable. They would have to hire someone who can fix this for them.
My “blocked” list ist 3 times as long as my friend list.
Same as health bars which are bugged since release. It does not show up until you did damage equal to the bonus health the amulet provides. Sonethimes it seems like i just miss every hit until all of a sudden the enemy bar drops to 50%.

The game is littered with all kinds of bugs and is a meme at this point, and a waiting ground for the next mmo
Why wait for the next MMO that’s arguably worse than the MMOs out now? What copium is this?
Are you people sure you all are waiting for the next MMO? I can tell you right now, Throne and Liberty is going to trash, and IIRC AGS is the publisher for it. So you’ll have all the Bot and RMT issues that New World and Lost Ark has.
AGS has trained its players to treat bugs as features
AGS is so ridiculously clueless when it comes to basic MMO needs that it’s hard to believe. A friends list that has been borked SINCE LAUNCH. Everyone knows about it, NOTHING has been done.
A group finder didn’t exist in this game at launch. But when they finally introduced one, the only remarkable thing about it is that it would be difficult to design something worse. It is, hands down, the worst design for a group finder OF ALL TIME.
If I were an AGS dev, I would simply quit out of shame. The issues in this game are so basic, yet run so deep. Design decisions are so mind-bogglingly bad that it’s hard to fathom how anyone could come up with them. Most people would have to put significant effort into coming up with design decisions like AGS puts out every patch.
Oh yeah! I really wish they would fix this.
To add, sometimes I only see like the top half logged in and a big black blank section below. So it scrolls weird. no clue why sometimes it gets cut in half.
The friends list and the data that goes into is complicated, it’s like building a “door” for AGS

all this stuff worked on launch I just forget which patch it was that broke it but it was pretty early on
wait so you dont like to open map, scroll in, hit a mini icon thats right next to another icon, then looking through 10 different mutations, want to apply, having to do it all again because you are pvp flagged, then hover over a little icon again to be able to message the lobby owner, get into inventory, link 5 pieces of gear, close inventory, hit send, open inventory and link weapons ? its literally so easy to use, dont know what everyone is complaining about
It’s hard and about priorities. At least now you know Farmer John is going with a 35kda in arenas on Barri server now.
Every single feature or system they have ever released since 2018 had multiple bugs, a lot of which have never been fixed to this day. As a New World player you just have to accept the fact that this game is always going to be riddled with bugs and that most of them will never be fixed in a reasonable timeframe, and often times straight up never.
50th topic, but… True, still an Alpha game btw.
