dont get me wrong, its an impressive talent, but i think it hinders the credibility of your dissertation =p
lol. I have to give u credit for making me laugh in these gloomy forums…
I can appreciate you like the game. I want to like it too, but it’s ridiculously silly when you cant trade anything with your teammates, and people run around with invulnerability. The game is not as described. I wish I could refund.
invuln was fixed. trade will b back and though dev’s won’t admit it, I don’t think they gonna mess with shutting it down again. I think they will instead just merge it so there is no loose spot.
When I eat food and it tastes like a turd, I dont go get seconds, help yourself though!
at this point, it seems more likely that the gold dupers will find another way before the weekend, but that is just me
I respect the experience you had. I am still enjoying myself though. I’ve played through a lot of shit game launches, World of Warcraft, FFXIV, Asheron’s Call, Star Wars Galaxies, SWTOR and several others. They all had problems at the start that got better over time. Shoot every expac of WoW has broken something and people still come back to it.
For now its not your shindig, but perhaps we will see you back in the future.
Good luck!
well their goal is not to stop gold selling, but duping. Also, if not already, they should be using throughput similar to WoW so that packets are forced onto the client. This can potentially fix a lot of the basis for these kind of bugs, such as invulnerability, gold dupe, etc.
It is difficult to compare a horse buggy to a rocket ship. All of those games you listed were released over a decade ago, and Amazon hosts like half the internet.
How is this a AAA Release?
If they can get you to play a game for 500 hours and charge you $40, I’m really confused at the question.
The future really does hinge on how well they rebound from this.
i enjoy the game and i want it so succeed, i am just getting progressively more pessimistic in that regard
i played nearly all of those at launch as well
Yes, but new world is on a whole different level of bad than SWTOR, WOW, etc. Item dupes, gold dupes, nearly every single armor perk being non functional, animation canceling…
The list is insane and it is only going. The dev teams ability to “stabilize” is trending in the wrong direction. I hope it gets corrected, but for now, the trend is undeniable.
It is unclear how much of Amazon’s massive workforce really works on this. This is more of a homegrown in a “trust” by Amazon I should say. It’s not going to live up to the replace-WoW appeal and I think that was the biggest disappointment. Nonetheless, it has some strengths, but just not enough to fill up the “emptiness” that games as richly in-your-face, or raid-based, as WoW, or others, can manage. I think much of the player base left is starting to be ok with that, and it seems more catered to them. It couldn’t replace the 350k that chose this to be the new WoW or the 150k from the Pirates game on steam that came here for it to be the new Pirates.
Was sucked into this thread and I gotta say the back and forth conversation was definitely more entertaining than this game will ever be.
On a side note, that guy is a psychopath for sure. The only English he knows consists of threats, insults, swear words and slurs. You can’t even debate with that “thing” much less a human lmao
Make him more angry and I’ll get the popcorn, I assume all it takes is a stick to poke and enrage him like an animal
Actually ya’ll by standard this is a Triple S launch which is higher than A
I think they had some real opportunity to hire some more experienced and diverse talent to prevent these sort of issues in the first place. I agree with you that the issues are becoming more prevalent, and thats disconcerting. Still though… its giving me what Im looking for now.
I was really hoping this could be a mid - large scale pvp game with a solid player base. We’ll see, one way or another…
either new things are breaking after they patch, or people just havent found all the exploits and bugs because there are just too many to work thru
neither is good
honestly they could’ve fixed not one damn thing & at least every post-WoW player was totally happy. they have like only 14,000 WoW players left cuz they keep burning the whole game down to a crisp with 7-hour patches every 2 days, an unmerged tradehouse with post limits, they then burn even that down. post-WoW players would much rather have tyrant developers with stability than responsive ones that destroy even what’s good in their game cuz someone on some server makes a post crying “oh my God! oh my God u guys! there were 18 sets of void armor flying in the air & we all died.” - stuff that I swear to u NEVER ever happens except like once in like only 18 times and u burn down ur game over this crap, like really? there are whole servers that don’t even know what any of these threads are talking about
i gave up on wow a long time ago
Wrath was amazing, but Blizz is no longer Blizz and wow is no longer wow
