There is 1000’s of ppl in Q’s waiting to get in the game, i personaly know a few that havent got a moment to play the game since the realese becouse its litearly impossible to get into servers at laster hours, meanwhile we get ppl like him 2021-10-02 15-40-07 nice macro
Its just disgusting that those ppl are not getting banned.
cause this guy want to go have a coffee and comeback to play the game, and you better adress to incompetent developers rather then people willing to play. so he will log off and after he comes back in 30 minutes he needs to w8 for 5-6 hours to be able to play. lol. this game is good but all this problems make it garbage. i would just suggest you do the same cause otherwise you will not be able to play.
and replying once more to your message, you better ask them to ban their server developers rather then this guy
There are a lot of low-pop servers atm.
“Not getting to play a single hour cause of servers” is a lie and would only apply if those individuals would want to play on a very high-pop server - Which is their choice.
Not trying to be rude, just getting a little frustrated about all those over exaggerations.
Mate there are many servers without queue
You have a point there for sure, but saying (like Sargotans) that this guy went for a coffee or something is just lame joke, there are ppl that are afk like this for HOURS, not for some single short break, and as much as i understand that this problem made by developers, doesnt mean u should abuse it like that either
I must be missing something. So you’re saying that I can take my level 28 New Worlder, switch to a ‘low-pop’ server and continue where I left off? Heck. Had I only known.
I thought the only current way I could play on a ‘low-pop’ server is if I start a new New Worlder from scratch. Which is, how can I put this… not an option bubba.
As for ‘low-pop’ - take a looksee and find ‘a lot’…
All good, u just have to sacrifice 10’s of hours u played on ur character and play on some low population server becouse a guy is runing into a wall for whole day, nothing wierd about it.
you should sacrifice and start a new character not because of this guys, you need to do it cause amazon cant handle this situation, this guy also dont want to start a fresh character thats why he is doing it, is a loop but the beggining of the loop is poor server developing not this guys. how you dont understand that
Not really a lie, i did that an my friends are not satisfied with it, because the person who should play as a healer is not playing at the same server. They need me, but i can’t join the same expedition from another server and it makes an issue.
there are alot of low population servers.
there are alot of AFKers who are between lvl 8 and 18, which means they are taking up space but not playing! there is no way at this point that they would be that level if they went for coffee for 30 minutes and came back to play the game and those players are all there for more than 30 minutes, they are in the same place at the same level for 5-6 hours.
devs dont need to be banned, the players do.
Ok, so I waited for the entire day in the queue braindead in front of the PC, finally got in the game, had to go grab some food and asked my gf to move the mouse around every 5-10 minutes until I’m done, so I can get to play for at least a couple of hours that day. I was absent for like 35-40 minutes total. If I went afk to feed the family (since I’m the chef around here) and the situation is more complicated than you’d think, I have to prepare food at a certain hour for an elderly person, I would have not been able to play for 1 minute the entire day.
Should I be banned for it?
I was literally waiting for 8-9 hours and got in the game just in time for dinner.
Maybe the guy that was macroing didn’t have anyone to move his mouse around, or maybe he’s a streamer and wants to stay connected since streaming puts food on his table.
Why should people be banned for it?
Honestly the fault relies with Amazon only. They have the biggest server farm in the world, and could not allocate enough servers to cover the number of people that have all bought a copy of the game.
If there’s 1 million copies sold, prepare 1 million spots for your game. That’s 500 servers if they are each capped at 2k players/server. With the hype this game had coming, was clear that everyone will be logging in on launch, and not 1 day later.
I really hope you get what I’m saying.
There are several problems here…
One, the incompetence of the engineers allocating server resource limits.
Two, players abusing macros and 3rd party software to avoid intended kicks for AFK.
Three, the abnormally short AFK time that triggers a kick.
Realistically, the kick should be between 20-30 minutes before you get kicked for inactivity. Any 3rd party software/macros should be bannable by default, as is the case in literally any other MMO. (There are relatively simple methods to flag players for macros, albeit imperfect and I’m unfamiliar with resource cost.) The most logical solution, use their elastic PaaS/Iaas/SaaS that they have to expand server capacity.
Keyboard meet ROCK…
Worlds oldest “Macro”
What’s the difference between legitimately running across the server holding down W and the rock?
The problem is designing a game that cannot accommodate the player base. Expecting players would somehow self organize onto low population servers. Maybe if they offered big incentives and a migration feature to alliances, companies, and individuals.
Or, if they were smart and used their own damn resources, they could expand the server capacities and use elastic cloud services to manage costs:players with AWS.
