With server merges coming a forum post was made where people shared their maps for their server. For the Arkadia Lambda merge my server Irminsul is being merged with a number of other servers. Based on the forum post that was made describing the US-East merges it says that we will be merging “into” Amano Iwato. Many people from our server found someone whom had posted the map for this server and all but 1 territory is green.
I am really curious how this was the chosen server to merge into. For instance in my server territories are: 4 for purple, 5 for yellow, and 2 green. I was under the assumption that the faction control of territories would have been the primary reason for picking the server that got merged into. Attacking is already more difficult than defense, meaning that even with strong companies and faction members it will be extremely difficult to start to take over territories. I think that before merge if possible you should look into making some of the maps that are going to be merged into a choice that has the most balance.
This is not an up to date map of the server. I think yellow owns more than green or purple now. But it sounds similarly balanced to your reference server. Also many of the companies do not have enough active players to fill a war so it won’t be that hard to take a territory.
Not sure exactly how up-to-date this map is, but this is what was posted, so I am assuming that this is current. If someone from the server confirms it’s not, it’s not. Doesn’t matter that the companies cannot fill wars, because many more players will be coming to the server so they will be able to easily fill wars with 60s. And if AGS had the intention to have a map for people to roll through and take territories I still think it would be better to have a balanced map. Companies that are losing their territory are already going to be hungry to reclaim something. To me, this decision looks like a random server was selected, which is why I ask the question, how was this server chosen over the other servers that are merging together?
