How it felt like entering the new zone Brimstone Sands

Only need to be level 60 and complete “A Selfless Nature”

Perhaps they are referring to the quest line option to do things solo? All I have is the group option, never bothered doing Tempest and I ran into the same invisible wall that the OP is discussing.

That said, I agree with the OP that there should be some visible barrier or whatnot.

Edit: While trying to find a group for Tempest–per the info in this thread-- someone messaged me and said that you do NOT have to do Tempest as a prerequisite. You just need to be able to do a quest in Shattered Mountain: Strider in the Sands.

Doing that quest now and it appears to have worked fine.

There probably should something to give you a clue that you’re doing something wrong. Like apply a burning to the character, show fire on them, dot equal to a % of total HP per second that increases over time. Give the player a chance to realize and get out.

Maybe even a message that says “you must complete X quest before entering here” or something.

The account of your experience isn’t invalid like some of the people here would suggest with their criticism. I think doing BS this way keeps bots out and that’s good but things could have been more clear for people that haven’t been watching all the PTR content.

The clue should be that you go in a new zone but there aren’t any quests on your map in that zone, but yes you are right it should be damage over time(5-10 seconds to turn back) and a message on screen.

Getting into Brimstone is soooo easy. Its awesome you have to dol quests first.

Yeah. I just took that one quest. Lol. Its good fun too

Why does the zone even have attunment to enter is the real question

Indeed, but only once someone had directed me to the correct quest in GC instead of trying to tell me I needed expeditions.

Effectively they have put a pointless death and a trivial fetch quest in the way of simply walking through the gate which servers little purpose but to annoy.

Because you need to apply your lotion ;).

To be fair, I didn’t really read the text that well. But it’s a super easy quest, took like 10 minutes and entry is there.

Tempest Heart dungeon, as suggested by some in this topic, is not required to be completed.

And if I recall correctly, the quest giver for this showed up with the corresponding main quest giver logo on the map.

I love the new zone, just wish we had mounts! the walk time between quests is to much. I spend 30 seconds doing a quest but 5-10 min walk time even with the ports =(

Bro…Many, many people do the Main Storyline in any MMO until they hit Max Level, the stories in the game aren’t that great to warrant finishing them for no reason. I hit Max Level with 3 or 4 quests to go. Kinda frustrating to have to run around doing lame content to access the new stuff.

For sure should have had an NPC standing at the entrances to Brimstone, that explains what you need to do.

Honestly, and I hope you don’t think I’m taking this out on you, but one more absolutely horrible decision by this dev team, and I’m deleting this program from my hard drive and never looking back.

And I just hit it. So basically, the solo version of The Saboteur quest requires I run through an elite, group 5 area to get to? This game should have never been published. It’s absolute garbage and it’s absolutely coming off my hard drive as soon as I hit the enter key.

Don’t listen to these guys man lol.

Yes, AGS should add something in game to warn you that you can’t go there yet.

When we all first started playing this game, there were a lot of people that went off to explore the whole map before leveling and they too would’ve been confused if they walked into myrkgard or something and died for no reason. They probably would’ve made this post haha.

That was funny.
Probably the ancient Egyptian Gods did not see you worthy enough of entering their territory and cooked you up with a sun ray beam

All jokes aside, there were the welcome notice before lobby, explaining you that there is a new zone in game and you must complete the quest from x settlement to access it.
