I’m just going to say this right now: the two sets isn’t enough to even bother me to actually even use it in the first place, except maybe to slap in one set of gear I may use the most (which changes in any given week, depending on what I want to do) and then still suffer all the same pain when I need to switch to whatever other set I need at a given moment. Do you understand that all this actually does is mean I’m suffering the same problem, I’m just interacting with a different UI? I still have the exact same headache I had before, but now I have to do all the same management for these two sets instead of just the one I’m currently using? I still have 15-20 sets of gear to manage in an inventory system that does nothing to help me do that. Just because I can now move two of those sets to a quick swap feature doesn’t mean I don’t have to manage all the others into that feature when I need them, exactly as I have to do right now!

It hasn’t reduced the pain in the slightest! It’s just moved it to another UI.

First of all, thanks for a lot of well-articulated points. I know answerings trolls on this forum must take energy but know that there are probably more people like me reading but that doesn’t post much.

Secondly, this quote summarizes why I’ve been so annoyed with the information about gearsets.

Me and my regular play group have been looking forward to what was teased in the roadmap. We finally felt like NW was on a good course and we were getting some QoL to get rid of the tedious parts (gearsets), something new and difficult play-wise (new expedition) and just some fun features for the heck of it (transmogs).

I took a break a few weeks ago and I thought I’d return when we’d gotten an update. Now this announcement comes around and I’m disappointed in a way that I would be on an uncle that always promises to call but never does, and I’m finally understanding he won’t change his ways.

I don’t mind paying for game content or for nice-looking gear (and I have in the past) but asking me to pay for decent inventory management? This game will never respect my time and I’m just now realizing it.

3 is not enough. Especially considering we need a set for everything. I’m often complaining about the trophy cap… But don’t even get me started on the gears sets. We need a gear set for just about every activity imaginable… except going afk to use the bathroom o_o?
Bare minimum of 5 free would be OK, but honestly 10 free would be very fair! Expecting players to purchase after 3… is pretty sus and a gotcha move. Don’t get me wrong I’ll take my 3… still it’s nowhere near enough all things considered.

btw, the gear sets are kinda nice but not really the best comprehensive move to address inventory.

I have no idea what’s the deal here tbh.

Before I stopped playing, I set my gear sets according to my town storage.

For example, BS had all my Ore gear.
Windward my Wood gear.
Then another town for leather set etc.
PvP gear for 1 town.
PvE gear for another town.
Weapons 2 towns.
Rings and jewellery another town.
Junk like crafting mods/motes another town.

There are enough towns to juggle these properly.

Then 2 towns to throw Zerg chest runs into to sort at the end of the day.
The ones without housing usually.

You can already do this, and if you play enough, probably memorise which town has which set.
No need to even bother asking them to create stuff to search.

A better solution to the issue is to allow us to search storage better.

1. Allow us to search all storage, not just the selected one
2. Allow us to search by string across perks (so we can find all “corrupted ward” sets, for example)
3. Allow us to #tag any gear with a string up to 24 characters long.
4. Allow us to search on that string

1 earned from the Season pass free track.

I am not sure if we miss the Season pass gear slot, would we miss it all together.
Unclear if 1 gear slot would be given each season either, or if they give an additional slot per season or the missed slot is provided back. Example: missed the free 1x slot in Season 1.

Season 2 will give players who missed it a chance to earn it, and those already who have the 1 slot would be given other reward.

You can buy extra slots. No idea what’s the cap either. Like if I have 50 gear sets, 20 weapons sets are easy to max out and play in different loads, +PvE and PvP, how is the management UI like.

@Aenwyn and the AGS Team, Season pass looks incredible. There seems to be content (mounts) as well. I do sincerely hope that you guys nail this. Personally, I feel burned out/uninterested with the speed the updates come out and general state of RNG in the game. Hopefully this generates more players returning to the game. There has not been any announcement as to the cost of extra gear slots or what the max number of slots we will have access to. The Number of MoF on the free and paid season tracks is not set in stone either. So as of now there is no know answer to your question. The only concrete info we have ATM is 2 free slots and one from the free season track.
