How many people will go to fresh start servers?

Going fresh start will likely be a much better experiance for arguably everyone.

Legacy servers are still tanked full of stuff from the duping phase of the game which made the economy fucky and ( speaking from experiance on Tira Na Hog ) the people who stuck the game out on these servers have grown into the most toxicly elitist mentalifys ive seen in any game for years. People expecting a bjillion gs for dungeons that were balanced on 500gs. Half the time nowadays to get a group for a dungeon u need to have way higher gs then the dungeon and proof youvr already done it.

The new player experiance on legacy servers is just getting bullied by the people who stuck it out from the beggining and most of the faction wars now are guilds or guilds with alt guilds dominating across the map

Try reading the notes and as for failure, I think the purpose was to get new and returning players in greater numbers. Check the server stats :slight_smile:

Hey you know you can go to nwdb and see server populations every night right? You can see server pop numbers in real-time. Fss have been increasing in pop every night while legacy have been going down. 24 fss at 2k+ last night while only 5 legacy.

Why spread false information when the numbers are only a simple mouse click away?

Back when the first dupes and stuff happened (first 2-3 weeks after launch) people were asking for a server wipe. It wasn’t “Many many many” but there was a few that asked for it.

It wasn’t “a few”. People pretty much gave up on the entire game.
So wiping all would definitely bring a lot of players back. FSS is a nice middle ground to not screw over the longtime community

Yeah, clear the progress of everyone who kept the game alive after the disaster that was the launch, that’s a great idea.

Here is a tip, stay far away from the business world.

rightly so, knee jerk reaction would be lets just roll it back, at the very least.

but that was primarily for people who felt like it really effected gameplay, while none of the exploits effected anyone’s ability to clear content - which none of them really did, it was mostly gold discrepancies

Give it a little more time. Already Reddit posts about their fresh starts being dead and wanting to transfer.

it seems so far they are pretty good at merging servers whenever population get too low so I wouldn’t worry about it. Even fresh start have little to worry about and can easily be merged when they need to.

Weird - just checked the first 8 pages on reddit and didn’t see any. Only ones I saw were legacy players asking to be merged because of how huge the population is on fss.

I don’t know about Reddit posts but it’s pretty clear to see that FSS are about equal to or less than the Legacy servers. The keynote being that there are now more FSS than Legacy.

The only servers truly hurting are the pseudo-Legacy servers that were added right before FSS. Why AGS thought adding “legacy” servers right before the FSS event was a good idea is beyond me.

Nah - you can look up server numbers on nwdb on a per server basis of fss vs legacy. It’s about 70% fss - 30% legacy population wise right now. These numbers are readily available to you.

Literally just looked it up. They’re basically the same for peak hours, which is when your average person is playing.

I made a new character on the RTA server since my people are there HOWEVER I still have my original character on the legacy server and dunno for sure if I willstay on the RTA…will depend if the company I am in all up and leave again or not.

I think we will have a better idea of what going to happen when this event has been done for a bit, it will give us more of an idea if the streamers will actually stick around this time or not.

Super weird cause just checked right now and it’s 65 fss vs 35 legacy. And last night was 68 fss and 32 legacy. 2 to 1 ratio is hardly what I would call equal or less. That’s pretty lopsided.
