Thats strange, people are coming back to check new patch, who would say? …

Shroud likes this game & makes fun of people who talk down on it because he knows it is brand-new & it is not his first rodeo. I understand Amazon making an MMORPG has brought a lot of people who have not ever played a brand-new release before, however, this is getting ridiculous. It is pattently absurd at this point, the people who waste their very lives hating this game instead of doing something else with their time. Before anyone tries to defend their negativity:
There is feedback & there are assholes. Both are very different things.
Shroud & any other content creator get paid in the event you use their creator tag when buying from the cash shop, just like Fortnite, call of duty, or any other game. Anything else would be pure conjecture.
It is absurd to think Shroud or any other person needs to be paid to play a great game, which new world is.
You prove the point, though: Streamers, content creators, are pressured by people to hate games you hate & they are pressured by the need to maintain their viewer base so some of them even hate the game to keep everyone they already have watching.
Shroud is big enough not to give a f what you think; he can play anything & enough people who watch his stream will enjoy it to not be bothered by it. Most - the vast majority of - streamers do not have that luxury. So when they play a game you hate & see their numbers plummet because you stop watching them, they have to join in & hate the game with you to bring you back. It is a simple part of the business - you split your audience, you lose your view count, you lose money.
Shroud, again, is big enough for this not to bother him. He can play what he enjoys & he does enjoy New World & said himself that New World is not going away any time soon.
It is a quality game. Whatever your beef is with New World, it is moot in the grand scheme of gaming. Many people enjoy it, including many high-profile streamers. Deal with it.
He is not playing it “again”, he hasn’t stopped playing it.
He has explained many times to his stream that doomsayers about new world are wasting their breath. I happen to agree with him; Even with bugs, even with a rocky launch & “reviews” & “smear articles” written by reviewers & “journalists” who are OWNED BY COMPETITORS, New World has had a better launch than most MMORPGs.
In fact, you cannot name an MMORPG in the past 15 years that launched better, without having it be one that is a relaunch in a western market, with years & years of patches behind it, before you ever even knew it was available!
Addendum:
The real question you should be asking is how many content creators are paid to bash it by the same people who own those review sites & so-called “gaming news” sites.
Delusional. This game becomes worse every patch and you can’t argue differently.
At this point, they probably didn’t pay Shroud anything. Every time Shroud plays the game on stream he broadcasts all the bugs and the current state of the game to a huge audience while complaining about it. There is no way that has any effect that benefit the game.
I do not need to argue a non-argument, non-response. The game gets objectively better with every patch. Every patch has addressed player feedback. Orbs now cost 1/5th what they used to & there are more ways to get them, for one shining example of that. Any serious bugs from any patch have been fixed with a quickness, too. Like the inventory/crafting patch that dropped less than a day after the update.
See how easy that was? Your non-argument, non-response was not even worth my time. Yet here we are.
Is this what a copium overdose looks like?
You’re not allowed to desire success for the game if you’ve even once uttered something negative…
C’mon man, you know the rules, and so do I.
Why would anyone pay for this, though? The game competes neck and neck with Runescape. Why flip bills to bring it lower than that? What’s that even do? It’s probably already on the cutting docket for this player count.
Now, all the doods who be going around the forums telling people to fuck off and quit?
Yeah, that smells like a concentrated effort to shit alllll over a game. Player retention is important early, and who wants to retain to a community of people who tell them to go away?
Slap in some game-breaking bugs and exploits that are not addressed with haste and you have a recipe for a 832,000 player dropoff.
Not sure how much they pay streamers. But anyone who would watch video game streamers is some serious sort of special needs kid for sure.
Kinda like people who fire off insults at people they’ve never met?
I mean granted, I’d rather play than watch a game. But streaming is a parasocial experience and those legitimately sell better than sex right now.
Streamers typically make upward six digits yearly. The higher names push seven.
I got banned in shrouds NW stream for saying “this game is doodoo”. Must be paying him a lot.
This was my first experience doing dungeons ( Laz / Gen) since start of game and I really enjoyed it (700hrs played) …I think this patch is good because it’s still give more viable options for casuals to play end-game dungeon and get their feets in mutating ( lvl 1-2 for casuals) . I also got a lot of expertise bumps during Thoses 5-6 normals run. Having orb cheaper and accessible in faction shop is a huge improvement for casual
streamers are obligated to put #AD if they are being paid otherwise risk ban from the platform
Lol this is an odd statement. I love playing games and I love watching people play the games I like and other type of games. It’s not weird at all.
There are some really good streamers out there if you would like to change your mind. Lirik and Shroud are the best two of them.
what about those that dwell in the forums that dont play the game… kids with special issues?
