Not a new breed of gamer, I am in my 50s. I make enough that I can pay a bit extra to be able to enjoy my free time. Currently sitting on what looks to be a minimum of a 12+ hour queue. I would have dropped an hour or two of pay to be able to jump right in.
Released DLC New world REAL GAME NO QUEUE (100$)
Do you feel rich and want to play the base game? Buy this DLC and start to play anytime
It sounded better in my mind
Dont give them ideas they are already greedy suits running this game dont make it worse.
Kids wanting everything for free is what has caused quality and custome
r service to go down hill.
To me, it’s not the suits that are ruining the game right now.
Taking this game slow and easy so i don’t burn myself out unlike many people who’s rushing!
I can understand the excitement and eagerness to get into the game - especially for people who plan to play the game as a race to 60 or (just as likely) companies really eager to get in and get positioned to take their first settlements.
But - it’s Launch Day of a brand new MMORPG. Obviously AGS will need to start spawning new servers in a hurry, and I expect a flurry of “New Servers Added to XX Region” announcements throughout the day.
I also expect servers swapping across the same world.
If you don’t want to wait 12 hours and want to “jump right in” you can choose a low populated realm with a much quicker que time. The problem we have is it’s this whole attitude of I want it my way now or else and thinking that money is always the solution to a problem. You are in your 50’s you know full well that it’s a waiting game with this kind of thing all games have bumps in the road.
I would have paid exactly $39.99 to jump the queue…oh wait. I did. Never mind.
or…Amazon is always interested in making some money and I have money to burn. Pretty sure they would be happy to take it for nothing more than letting me jump the line at launch. Seriously, they would have made gobs of money for nothing more than people like me that just don’t want to wait until October to play. And then, that stupid perk that I paid for would be useless to me in a week or two. They would have won, by taking my money. You could have sat back and gloated about how much smarter you were than me for not paying that extra money so you would have won. And I would be playing right now, so I would have won.
Nobody would lose here.
Are You stupid or pretending ?? All servers got queue’s there is no server in eu to jump to all of them got 1k+ people trying to get in. There is more players in queue than plaing the god damn game ffs.
Because some NA server are down and NA people are actually playing in EU (or in waiting queue)
“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt” re read my statement please. “quicker que time”.
“Nobody would lose here.” You would be pushing back those who couldn’t or wouldn’t pay for this so called boost. I would have thought that was obvious here. 2000 tickets to get in a server whoever pays quickest gets a spot. Seems right.
Yes, the EU servers going up first has really caused a big issue. People from all over the world logged into EU servers this morning to name grab, creating a massive artificial inflation of players. Let’s hope that means the after the first couple of days, the actual ACTIVE EU players will be a lot fewer than the number of people in the queues now.
But that said. AWS is the biggest cloud company in the history of planet earth. It’s just bizarre that New World decision makers would try to be so cost conscious to limit player volumes to 2K per server when most other successful MMOs average 2-3X that. Why not start with 4 or 5K limits, or at least make that adjustment an hour after the madness began this morning, then deal with the consequences later and consolidate the more sparsely populated servers in a few weeks.
Very surprising that with such deep pockets, Amazon wasn’t willing to overspend a bit rather than choking thousands of players who just gave them $40.
So u wanna be a white and all others to be black eh?
I play us east, had several servers with no queue to choose from when i got home at 530pm. I chose to play with friends on a server with a 1.5 hour wait. I made dinner and chilled with the fam for about 45 minutes then logged in. Smoothest launch experience I’ve ever had. Not sure I would’ve paid for anything more.
situation on EU servers is a “bit” more frustrating :DD its like 2k people minimum here, and 4k at evening, thats roughly 5-10 hours of waiting.
